McCain invented the Blackberry ?

Waving his BlackBerry personal digital assistant and citing McCain's work as a senator, he told reporters Tuesday, "You're looking at the miracle that John McCain helped create."

Does he even know how to use his own "invention" ?

It's probably a misunderstanding of an inside joke. From everything I've read, the one bit of technology that McCain has down pat is cellphones, and particularly, his blackberries (note multiple). Supposedly he is totally addicted to them and is the type who thinks nothing of frequently calling staff in the middle of the night.
