Good grief this is a vicious attack. The woman (who looks like a guy btw) throws 20 or so punches directly to the face while she is on top of the mother on the ground. The little boy kicks the offender, and then the offender yells to the woman that she is going to kick her little boy in the face.

Actually quite a few states have use of force laws that provides liability protection for a person that uses force in protection of another.

They actually did more by recording than calling the police. Fight was over before police would have got there. But video will send her to jail maybe.

Thats fine if you can get all the witnesses to go your way. However walking through park on a group of yuts and breaking a fight between them it's unlikely. Then if they turn on you in middle of it and you have to defend yourself form 3-4 maybe with deadly force? Way too risky.
