I disagree with you on this. Life is special, if special is in the context of human emotions. At some point, it seems cruel to let a person suffer because they cannot produce more than they consume. If the argument is that people need to attempt to be productive that's one thing, but if you are advocating that people should die because they cannot keep up, that's another. Unless you are then saying that every person can be productive enough to live, but then you are into minimum wage.

And this is where I would advocate for a lower minimum wage for teens who want to work if we go with the guaranteed income. Drop it down to $5 an hour tax free and allow the teens to take back their jobs in these industries, while also allowing business owners to save some money by putting these kids back in their rightful positions while finishing high school.

The argument against will be that the adults who have these jobs will be pushed out, but would that really matter if they had a guaranteed income? Not at all.

The other argument against guaranteed income is that people will quit working and there will be a massive shortage of workers, which is ridiculous as anyone making more than the income already would just keep their job and the extra money from GI would allow them to contribute even more to the economy through their increased spending.

Would a negative income tax would better than that though? It would get people to work, and would reduce all the administrative cost with welfare programs.

Are you trying to imply that people that earn higher wages never engage in crimes? Have you ever heard of something called white collar crime?
Higher wages normally allow you to be more selective. If the minimum is raised to $15, not only do they pay over 50% more than before, they also don't get to be any more selective.

Duh.
