Tim Hortons is just horrible all around, bad coffee,worse food. McD's usually has a $1 sale a couple of times a year and it is not bad for fast food coffee.

The only thing I do not like about McDonald's coffee is unlike everything else on their menu its not consistent. Sometimes its not so hot, sometimes its weaker or stronger, the amount of cream can vary, ect.

Over the course of a 40 year working career getting coffee at McDonald's on average 3 times a week, when sometimes the large coffee is as expensive at $1.50 can be over $3,000 not even accounting for inflation.

Yet we have threads where people laugh at others who buy lottery tickets as a waste of money.

I think a better question is why isn't something like this relevant to you?

It's not relevant to me because I don't buy coffee. My point was that unless he plans on moving to an area McDonald's that have cheaper prices (which is absurd) the thread is meaningless. Thus, the thread is meaningless. I think you missed that.

Maybe he's just interested similar to what is the cost of a home in your area or what is the cost of breakfast in your area.

I like their coffee, but I only get it when I am on road trips, it seems like it takes about an hour to cool down to a point that I can drink it.

Small is 25 cents, any other size is $1. I know I could get 2 or 3 smalls instead of a large, but mino when it comes to spending $1 and only having one cup to contend with in the drink holder.

A large coffee is like $1.59 (or $1.69?) at the one on the corner. $1 when they run a sale, and $.49 as a "drink upcharge" with a breakfast value meal.

It's kinda of swill, but if I add sugar I can choke down my wakey-wakey juice.
