It's not like they do not disclose the ingredients, you know.

Thanks a lot. Now you've made me hungry for their french fries, and they won't even have non-breakfast stuff for the next four hours and thirty minutes. On top of that, they no longer have the Super Size fries, only the large.

If I don't post after this, it's because I am going to get two whole orders of fries to eat and will undoubtedly inflate like a balloon, at which point I am going to sue McDonald's, buy an island somewhere, then go roast in the sun like a lardmallow.

This POS lawsuit needs to tossed out of the courts in the worst way.

The implications of setting a precedent in favor of the plaintiff here would be disastrous to the foodservice industry.

By the way, here are the ingrediants of Ore Ida Frozen Fries (the most popular Supermarket bought fries):

Potatoes, partially hydrogenated vegetable oil (soybean and/or canola), dextrose, disodium dihydrogen pyrophosphate (to retain natural color).

Basically the same.

Electricity will choose the shortest and easiest path.

All those whiney bitches have seen an easy path to absolution and are taking it.
There is no justification because it is a subjective agenda.

To put it mildy, I would do my best not to associate myself with such wastes of men.

All the fries I've ever had have actually started to mold over at some point. Point was that fries from a regluar mom and pop burger joint started to decay like normal food does. I'm guessing their fries are frozen and contain perservatives as well. They were definatly not fresh cut potatoes.

I don't know what McD's puts in their fries, don't really care to be truthful. I just know that we eat potato chips (that are nothing more than deep fried potatos) that can sit in a bag unspoiled for months on end.

The only real control way to test would be to have a group without an agenda conduct the same test using fries from multiple fast food companies, a couple from mom & pop stores, and some from a grocery store.
I might do that. The experiment just made me curious, and kind of grossed me out on the preservatives.
Though the smell was awful, so I wouldn't want to keep the stuff in my home.

I don't eat potato chips, though I do eat frozen fries from time to time.

Anused I understand they fully disclose all the ingredients in their food. That's not my point. McDonalds could serve deepfried sh!t on a stick and I couldn't care less. The point was that compared to fries from some random burger joint actually showed decay at some point. Why thoes fries magically decayed while the mcdonalds fries didn't is beyond me. Mabey the fries from the other burger joint were actually fresh potatos.

Could very well be fresh. That movie was full of misleading propaganda.

I'll sue Amused for making me scroll through this whole thread, and all the wear and tear it caused to the mousewheel and my mousewheel-turning-finger.

Oh, and ATOT for supporting his evil deeds.

Non-fry french fry recipe.

Strain the yolks out of six eggs, and collect the whites in a bowl
Add a table spoon of Spike to the egg whites (check the spice section at your grocer)
Mix the egg whites and the Spike
Slice several potatoes into steak fry sized pieces
Dip these pieces in the egg whites/Spike mixture
Place on a sprayed cookie sheet, and bake at approximately 350 (may have been 400, can't remember for certain and I don't have the recipe in front of me) degrees until the fries are cooked to your taste

Actually, i'm not sure how long it would take McDonalds fries to get spoiled and start containing mold. I know I had a friend back several years ago when we were kids and we accidentally left a small portion of a hamburger and a few french fries down in a small little "holder" that was in the back of the van.

About 3-4 months later we went back and she made us clean it out after she realized that it was us who accidentally left it there. We made the deal that I would get the hamburger if he would get the fries. At the time, we couldn't see how many fries were in there and the little tub was upside down in there for some reason.

Anyhow, as we pulled out the hamburger it was nasty and moldy, with the bread having "fuzz" on it. As he pulled out the container, only a few fries being left in it. The fries were hard as a rock, but they didn't have anything that looked nasty.

If I had to make a guess, i would say that most all frozen french fries, whether you get them from the store or McDonalds, will not turn to an abnormal color or begin growing anything nasty.

I am assuming this would be because you can set out a bag of potatoes and they do not spoil as tomatoes or oranges will.

A lot of them in the SW had the spicy ones instead.

The "bic mac?" Is that the burger that lights your cigarette?

How old are the kids? And how fat are they?

Eitherway, I have no sympathy.

"Mommy, can I have two Big Macs?"
"Sure, honey!"
