I had like 10 Arnold Palmers when I was in Atlanta...the McCormick & Schmicks near the Geogia Dome/Convention Center had an old-school lemon press behind the counter so the lemonade part was fresh...so good.

nothing like there here in MI.... just these crappy tasting variety coffees.

Yeah, my wife loves that stuff, but it's mostly a southern thing. We don't have it in the North

It's only like $1 here and I get it whenever I go. For some reason they never seem to have any sweet tea though so I just fill mine up with blue poweraid. It's cheaper than buying an extra large drink .

Have you tried the sweet tea at Chicken Express in College Station?

nope, i would feel like a traitor.

You should try it some time. It is probably the freshest tea you will ever drink at a resturant as they are constantly brewing it. There is a reason why Chicken Express(On University), is one of the busiest places to eat in College Station. It also happens have some of the best chicken I have ever eaten. Their quality control is far superior than any other chicken joint I've eaten at.

Its been a year since Ive eaten their though. I was a manager there until I moved to Lubbock.

North Carolina. We southerners love our sweet tea. And all McDonalds have it, not just the McCafes.

You can even buy it by the gallon for like $3.75 or something like that

Chick fil-A has the gallons also.

Gotta love how you can get sweet tea anywhere in the south.

<--- In Atlanta area.

Arizona Sweet Tea - .99 cents for a 24oz can and it taste pretty damn good. I see it everywhere in California so I'd imagine it's going to be in most places that carry the Arizona brand.

McDonald's sweet tea is pretty decent. Here in the South it's nearly impossibly to find a restaurant which doesn't serve sweet tea (and there's plenty that have far better tea than McD's.) The only bad thing about it is the free refills at most sit-down restaurants. I can easily go through 4-5 glasses of it at one meal if I'm not careful. I've been doing a lot more half-and-half lately.

I always forget how regional it is whenever I travel. We visited family in Montana last summer and I got the strangest look when I asked if they had any. One Montana relative tried to make us feel at home by making us some . . . but I didn't have the heart to tell her it was horrible (at least by comparison; it was better than nothing I suppose.)

The first thing we did after we got off the plane from a week in Montana was head straight to Chick-Fil-A where I got two large lemonades. Good to be back in the South again.

That stuff (even the diet version) is fantastic. Add a few shots of Jack Daniels to one of the large cups and you've got an awesome summer cocktail.

I got the same weird looks when I asked for sweet tea in Las Vegas last year

As for better sweat tea than McDonalds at sit -down restaurants, it's hit or miss around here. I've found some good sweet tea here and there, but it is TERRIBLY inconsistent. Some days the tea is awesome, sometimes it's horrible. During the same visit to a restaurant, one glass of tea could be good, then the next refill is horrible.

At least with McDonalds, it seems to be consistently good all the time at every one I go to.

I don't think I want any of your sweat tea

Yea when my parents went to meet my wifes parents, my in-laws wanted to get my parents something they would drink so I said cold sweet tea. Being North Va its not very common. So they got some pre-made stuff from the grocery store. I did not think about it and it was served to my in-laws and parents. I saw my mother inlaw make a face when she drank it. I just thought she was not use to sweet US tea.
After my parents left that night I thought man would some sweet tea go down good right now. So I poured myself a tall glass and went to drink it. As soon as it hit my lips I knew something was wrong. I spit it out and asked my wife if that is what they served. Well found out my in-laws thought us southerners drink some really weird and nasty tea and my parents thought it was some special Vietnamese tea. Each of our parents did not have the heart to ask WTF are we drinking as they thought they would insult the other ones.
