MCE 2005 extender software for a PC?

Okay, I see plenty of "extenders" for MCE 2005 but they are all pieces of hardware or an XBOX. My question is does anyone know if I can "extend" MCE to my other computers? Kinda like how beyond TV does by selling and add on. I can't believe M$ won't sell extender software (if they do i can't find it).I don't care if I have to do a hack job or something. It just sucks to have 3 tuner in my MCE box but can only watch live TV on the MCE box only. Anybody?

Well I am not sure how MythTV is going to help me stream MCE's live TV to my other windows based machines. If your talking about converting all my boxes to Linux that isn't going to happen. I like Fedora linux and all but not for my everyday machines. I would install linux and MythTV on my HTPC if I thought it would serve my purpose. Does mythTV have a frontend application that I could install on my other Pc's to watch live TV if so do they have to be linux boxes as well? I wouldn't hesitate for using LINUX for a server. Are you saying implying that MythTV can act as MCE and stream to my other windows machines with some MythTV frontend? Besides I have an AIW 9600 pro and PVR500 happauge card in the HTPC of which I don't think it compatible. Any thoughts?
