Also, don't know if anyone else pointed this out or not, but I have heard from a few people that used the regular 1-800 number and had some problems. Use the 1-877 number that someone posted early on, and that works like a charm. Just another tip to get some more ppl in on this terrific deal!

I signed up online on Monday Dec 11. On Tuesday the following week, after reading some of the other replies, I called the toll free number to verify. I had signed up for two lines but they had only activated one, but not under Small Business. It was set up as a corporate reseller account, whatever that is. They had to cancel the account and I had to call back the next day to sign up for the Small Business Amazon Promo. I was told I would receive the 3rd party verification in about a day or two. They called 20 minutes after I got off the phone with MCI. The csr at MCI said that I would receive my welcome packet with the Amazon gift certificate along with a check to cover the transfer fees in 5 days.

After reading that someone else on one of these boards was given TWO Amazon GC's by MCI because they were late in completing his order, I called up MCI last night and complained. I switched to their service about two or three weeks ago, got NO GC in my welcome envelope, and when I called 10 days ago and complained about that, was given repeated "reassurance" that the GC would "almost certainly" show up in a separate envelope "3 to 5 days" after the welcome pack...which it never did. The CSR I spoke with last night sympathetically listened to my rant about how I won't be able to use the GC for Xmas gifts by the time it finally shows up (if ever) and how I've missed free shipping at Amazon because of this delay. Unfortunately he could not figure out a way to give me two Amazon GCs but promised me he would send a new one out right away. He also threw in a $75.oo calling card, 300 free long-distance minutes, and an additional 5,000 frequent flyer miles. Yowza. Very nice gesture ASSUMING the Amazon GC ever shows up.

I called the 888 number two weeks ago and the CSR was in the dark about the promotion. She had heard of it, and said I should sign up on the website. I did.

Two weeks later, nothing. I called the 1-877-270-2721 number and gave them the 0761 promotion code and was signed up in less than 10 minutes. On top of that, I was already an MCI residential customer, and he said that was no problem to just switch me to the business plan.

Bottom Line: If you signed up on the website and still haven't heard anything, CALL NOW!

Yea, call now if you haven't got it yet. I signed up online a few weeks ago and didn't get anything. The other day my girlfriend called and they said some bull about it was pending status, and we could only get $150 long distance credited. Called them today and they said amazon promo was sent out the 11th and should be here this week. Here's hoping..

Ditto what gigantor said. I signed up last week online and got tired of waiting so I called. Have to ask for the small business division...and the first CSR didn't know squat about what I was talking about with the promotion...but he sent me to someone else in the department who did. Needless to say, my online application was nowhere in their records.

If you want to get in on the action, it appears calling is your best hope!

I called their small business center to sign up and did not have any problems. I called in on 12/9 and got the GC on 12/15. It was all the at the bottom of the folded papers just below the calling cards. Just a series of numbers and letters. Now when to switch back......

I signed up online (when this deal just started, weeks ago) for one phone line and thought i'd never get it. I never had time to call either...anyway, today i got a letter in the mail (same as the others, i know since i called up the first time for my other line), just without the GC...doesn't look like they switched either line though. Oh well, i'll just be happy with one gc with no hassle of trying to cancel or whatnot.

I called MCI, and switched. This was a week ago. I got the welcome kit in the mail today , my calling cards and all that BUT NO GC.:frown:
Anyway I called the 877 number. A CSR told me that I was not eligiable for this GC. When I asked her why she could not tell me. I then hung up and called back again. The CSR (a diffrent one) told me the same thing that the first one told me. I told her that when I spoke to them to sign up they assured me that I would get the GC and that I was eligable. She then told me that she sent one out again, but she was not sure that I would reveive it. (sounded like a brush off) :frown: So I am not sure what to do.. Anyone had the same expirence or can help? I appreciate it..

I got my welcome pack today with gift certificate attached. But the thing is that when I called, the csr told me a 3rd party would call to verify but I never got a call and my long distance has not been switched yet, two weeks later. I hope I won't get my ATT bill and an MCI bill....

i signed up last saturday, and was told i would get the package in a week and the amazon gc 3-5 days later. well today, one week later, i got the package and the amazon gc was attached at the bottom. SWEET!

After 2 weeks from signing up on the web and not hearing from them, I called the 877 number today and signed up again... Hope to receive the welcome package AND the GC in a week, as CSR told me...

Don't signed on the web. I signed up on the web 3 weeks ago and no respond therefore I called 800 number and signed up over the phone a week ago. Go my GC yesterday. Thanx for the tip of buying e-books "sleepy Hollow" for $1.79. Went back order $200 in electronics and applied $50.00 off $200.00. Camara and a Cordless phone for $17.00 shipped. Not bad.

The deal is for small businesses, however they don't hassle accepting you as a small business. You can use your name or last name as the company name..
