Okay, don't kill me...
I've been watching for the Plextor 12x10x32 to come available on Amazon for the last three weeks or so. I've been very patient and haven't used my $150 GC, hoping that I would be able to get one. I've checked many times per day and it has been listed as "Currently Not Available" until today. This morning they switched it to "Back Ordered" (which is about the same as upgrading the patient from "Critical" to "Critical but Stable".
So just now I called Amazon to ask if they could tell me any more info on the back order. As I was walking the girl through how to get to the item I wanted, I inadvertently refreshed my page and GUESS WHAT?!?!? It showed up as "Usually Ships In 24 Hours" !!!
She checked the availability real quick and said I should hurry up and do it because they only got like two of them. I threw my order in as fast as I could and I made it!! Under the availability screen on my completed order, it said they only had one left. So I clicked the item number to read the description again and now it's back to "Back Ordered".
Guess I got the last one. But at least I didn't end up wasting my GC on something stupid (which I was getting ready to do) !!!
So be patient if you haven't burned yours off yet. And keep watching all day. Those two were probably only available for maybe five minutes...
