Freddie Mitchell suggested that the warm weather on Sunday (as opposed to the rest of the week) may have affected him. Nothing about a concussion though.

If he was really playing ill, and he was obviously sucking a$$, the coach should have yanked him out of the game. So excuses don't mean jack.

I'd say it was a simple case of cracking under the pressure. Use whatever excuse you want, he played awful.

Their play in the final stretch was just awful, and showed a real lack of leadership both from McNabb and the coaching staff. I liked Bill Simmons' comments on it:

"When McNabb and Andy Reid unleashed the first-ever Six-Minute Drill down the stretch -- needing two scores in the final six minutes, but huddling the offense up after every play -- they guaranteed themselves a summer of "Will we ever win with these guys?" stories in Philly. I've seen 80 year-old men use a urinal with more urgency."

"He gave it his all. He was almost puking in the huddle. One play had to be called by Freddie Mitchell because Donovan was mumbling because he was almost puking."

Seems like nerves to me.

At least we now know Freddie was actually doing something on Sunday.

McNabb can cry excuses all day. Doesn't change the simple fact he's a loser.

Yeah a loser with the 2nd best record in the league over the past 4 years, who has taken his team to the playoffs 5 straight.

I'm just saying, if McNabb is the superstar that everyone makes him out to be... i think he should step up his game and elevate to the level of other superstars. Michael Jordan had some of his best games when he was feeling the worst.

why is this important

um, in case you haven't noticed, nothing in this OT forum is important.

i know this i am just trying to figure out why this would need another thread when there are countless eagles, patriots superbowl threads that exist. but then again rehashing the sh1t is what ATOT does best.
