Disgusting:
McRib Nutritional Info:
490 calories, 220 calories from fat, 25 g fat, 8 g saturated fat, 75 mg cholesterol, 1040 mb sodium, 44 g carbohydrates, 2 g fiber, 24 g protein, 11 g sugars.
Disgusting?
Hold the pickles, and there is 160mg less sodium.
What are you aiming for in your diet? Imho, even for a non-active diet, that's a great well-rounded meal.
If you aren't active, your other meals you should avoid eating much more saturated fat, and a little less sodium, but everything else is still great.
But let's see:
Look's like it's a little different this year, up to 9g of sat. fat, but 24g total fat.
That means there is 15g of unsaturated fat. Given that it is pork, it's probably around 9g mono-unsaturated, 6g polyunsaturated.
9g sat. fat isn't that bad, when it's complemented with 15g of unsaturated fat, which are the fats you technically must strive for in your diet (for most people, it does still work out fairly decently without paying attention).
Not an awful amount of sugar, and still a good meal's worth of carbohydrates, given the total nutritional value of said meal. One of these, and I stress one, is a great meal for the normal individual. And it's an even better meal for someone who is active in life (routine exercise, sound nutrition). When I'm active, I tend to have about 4-5 meals, probably 3000-3500 calories.
The ratio of nutrients in the McRib, very surprisingly, is quite awesome.
