It tastes like piggy rib, it looks like piggy rib, it is therefore piggy rib. It could be rib trimmings but that's still very good eats.


My dad was a butcher for over 20 years and said it is probably pork sirloin roast. That cut is one of the cheapest but it can be really tough and tends to dry out which makes it a perfect mcrib since they cover it in sauce and dice the meat before pressing. It is also very lean so low on fat.

Right, and I know what pork sirloin/roast tastes like. It doesn't taste like this, it tastes like rib and given the ingredients are so few it is rib meat. You can't take other cuts and make them taste like rib. If you look at the patty you can even see some of the connective tissue that makes rib taste like rib.

Ribs are cheap cuts. Do you forget I BBQ a lot? I know what rib taste like. I'm not saying it's all rib, but there is piggy rib taste in there. Why do you people think McDonald's doesn't use quality ingredients?

If you look at the deconstruction of it, that looks like rib meat. All that moisture comes from rib meat/fat and tissue. Then you have the caramelization for the flavor.

It's really a fabulous sammich and it's too bad you can't enjoy it. You're missing out.

Lulz, I cook most of my food. I'm salivating because I know what good flavor is and what it takes to have it. Moisture being a key part, sodium being the other.

I looked through all the buns offered at walmart, and all of them had nearly the same ingredients. I'd be interested to see what are in the buns that innout uses, but they don't even list the ingredients.

Yep. You can always see folks that don't cook their own food when they are scared of the ingredients. Especially when it comes to baking bread.

Unless you grind your own flour then "OMG! LONG NAMES!" is going to be in it. The easiest way to dismiss a food freak is to expose his lack of cooking skills. He is so used to getting food from somebody else he is shocked at the process and ingredients.

Try washing a McRib off like in that link and eating it without the sauce. Report back on how it tastes without the flavor from sauce and pickle and onion substitutes (those don't even look normal).

Yet again proof of people that don't cook. Onion substitutes. They grow in just about anything. Do you even know what a root vegetable is?

Please explain how it would be more profitable to make an onion substitute over just pulling it outta the ground and chopping it up. He'll the entire process could be straight form the ground in a combine.
