I grew weary of the Brinkmann-type grills. I grill about 4-6 days a week, even in the winter and these grills cannot stand up to rigorous use I put them through. In 15 years I have lived in my house, I have gone through 5 inexpensive grills to the tune of at least a grand. So, this past weekend I bit the bullet and went to Home Depot and picked up the
Weber S-320 Genesis. Yeah, I had to do some serious convincing to myself to justify spending 1k on a grill, but hopefully it will be worth it. It has a 25 year warranty for the tub and cover, 10 years on the burners and 5 years on the stainless grates and grease shields that cover the burners. I've used it every night since last Saturday and i think I am in love  Sweet grill, heats like it has afterburners and cooks oh so evenly! It better do it right for what I paid for it!
As for cookbooks, ( shameless plug)
Weber's Way to Grill is great as well as
Weber's Big Book of Grilling. I have both of them and plan to wear them out as soon as possible.
Peace
