I'm not seeing why you believing something since 1990 gives it any weight of authenticity.

How do you know it was that vaccine that caused the issue that you ascribe to it?
I don't consider myself one of those crazy antivaxxers if that's what you mean. I am not preaching against them. Vaccines do save lives.

However I think I suffered as a result of two bad ones and will no longer get them.

I understand the case you are making and as mentioned I don't read anything about vaccine controversies on the internet (as I have been on it 30 years) and know the level of unproven nonsense out there so I know not to even bother.

You dont agree with my conclusion and thats ok. I've been thinking this way since 1990.

I have taken other vaccines from 1990 up until 2020 and had no problems but none since 2021. The rushed Covid vaccine by Moderna got me.

And I have been reading about the correlation between autoimmune diseases and vaccines but found no conclusive studies so I won't mention them.

Life has a natural conclusion, accept it.
'I've achieved such a zen state about mortality that I won't take free, easy, effective measures to prevent my death.'

Uhmm... ok. This is extremely stupid but it's your life! I do hope you're able to stay out of contact with too many people on your way to meet your reward though. After all only you should pay for your bad choices.

Somehow dumbass Felix got all his vaccines and is proudly telling people vaccines don’t work because he never got those diseases. The trolling/cognitive dissonance is amusing to behold.

Also, we all know Hillary drinking the baby blood was the real reason for the outbreak. Hillary killed the child.

I'd imagine that most people with crazy reasons for decisions don't consider their reasons crazy. Thats the problem with having bad decision making skills.

You are very invested in a decision you made with no evidence and refuse to consider changing it even if it means death. I'd say that falls into the "crazy antivaxxer" camp!

Also 'I'm not anti-vaccine, I will just take no vaccines' is a bit self contradictory.

I wonder what Felix thinks happened to polio? Or smallpox? Or measles or any other of the deadly diseases vaccines resolved in the last 50 years? They magically disappeared because the magical sky daddy waved his magical sky daddy hand? The stupidity and willful ignorance is breathtaking. Roll eyes.

I inquired and he wants to follow CDC recommendation of over 50. So no go there unfortunately. Considering alternatives including getting it in Mexico.

Already looked into it and it is $400 for the the two shot regimen. I am willing to pay out of pocket.

I fall into an accepted category for pre-50 administration, so understood.

Having said that, and having had shingles many years ago, I would absolutely pay $400 and even more ... it's the most painful thing I've ever experienced.

I got the chickenpox vaccine and have never had chickenpox. From my understanding I can still get shingles it should just be less likely/milder. I'm very grateful for this as my mom had shingles and she said something similar - just awful.

Yep, previous chickenpox infection can lead to later shingles infection (same virus) if conditions are right. It just goes dormant until your immune system is weak enough for it to pop up. I had real chickenpox at 5, not the vaccine. But this wouldn't surprise me depending on method of chickenpox vaxx.

I looked after someone who was immunocompromised and had shingles. It was horrific, and I say that as someone whose seen some horrible stuff in my 3 decades in the health service.

Lol. You're not preaching against them but you're saying, without any evidence, that they do harm and that you wouldn't take any more?

Serious question, if the worst happens and bird flu mutates to be human transmissible, you'll refuse a vaccine that would save your life?

Don't forget shingles. Many of us poor sad sacks that had pox parties as an idiot child in the 80's will get to play with shingles in our 60s or whatever.
I had small bout with shingles a few years ago...just a small patch near the belt line on my abdomen. Still it was itchy enough to keep me in a bathrobe for almost a week and every once in a while, the pain would stop me in my tracks. Basically felt like someone shoved an ice pick in my gut. Had to wait a year to get Shingrix, so I got it exactly one year plus one week from when it cleared up.

I guess we will cross that bridge when we come to it.

In my reasoning, I could get the vaccine against Bird Flu related sickness and be perfectly fine. Or a year later wind up with some sort of complication.

Might have to roll the dice with herd immunity but genuinely I would be biased towards "no" and asses the situation at that time.

And you still think that you're not a crazy antivaxxer?

Willing to die of a preventable disease when there's a simple solution because you have a vague, unsupported feeling that the solution might be bad for you in some undefined and unprovable way because you read that on the internet?
Ticks the crazy antivaxxer box for me! Not sure what else I'd need to put you there!

This is actually, exactly what anti vaxxers say.

Yes, what I am saying is contradictory. But only for myself. You go get vaccinated, you will be fine.

I took pictures of my horrible psorias. My leg was covered with blood. I had to wear cotton socks filled with puss and blood. I had it on my lower back too. It then traveled around all over, behind the neck, under the arms.

I tried Taltz. It was very expensive and did not work. I also used Zoreyve which is great for localized treatment. But the Godsend was Otezla. Works perfectly and is affordable. It controls psoriasis 100% and the arthritis. But Ill probably have to take that the rest of my life. Thanks Covid!

However the attack was so bad it left permanent scars.

I lost my wallet the other month. Had my driving licence and credit cards in it! I totally blame the vaccine!

That makes as much sense!

I found it in the end, it had slipped down the side of the car seat!

It is exhausting listening to Magats with their feelings and I heard it on Facebook and complete lack of any critical thinking skills. They are fully invested in being ignorant. It is bizarre

See the magnets from the vaccines in your body brought it back to you.

I did as well. Got shingles when I was 42. seven dime sized lesions/sores starting at the nerves at my right eye going up the side of my head all the way to the top of my right ear. Easily the most painful medical issue of my life. Got it 3 days before Thanksgiving, had to lock myself in our guest bedroom for 10 days so I wouldn't contaminate my family. I had sensitivity to light for weeks after. A visit to the eye doctor showed I had spots on my cornea. Lucky the drops I was given cleared the spots and the sensitivity issues in a week. Still to this day I get the occasional tingling sensation in the side of my head where the shingles were. Lasting side effect/nerve damage. I wouldn't wish that shit on my worst enemy. (not even Trump). Had chicken pox at age 5. No vaccine. Got the Zostavax shot one month after my shingles outbreak. The duel shot Shingrix vaccine has been proven much more effective. Got it 5 years ago. These injections don't stop you from getting it again. Just makes any future outbreak less severe. Haven't gotten it again since. Anyone over 50 ... Don't be an idiot! consult your DOCTOR!, not a YouTube video! And get vaccinated if you're at risk and cleared by a medical professional!

Listen to your family doctor (ACTUAL MD). Stay off the internet if you lack the ability to filter out bullshit that contradicts 70 years of vaccine studies that show NO correlation between vaccines and autoimmune disease.

Just a word of warning: The political echo chamber you are in is a cesspool of science and medical misinformation. From anti-vax to flat earth to EMF fears and beyond. An absolute fucking cesspool.

Best advice in the thread! These diseases are most likely coming back in outbreaks throughout the world. Just so much bullshit and people are unable or unwilling to filter it out, much less visit a medical professional.
