I'm using a Chroma to type this. Been over 4 months. Not a single problem so far. People are saying that the leds will fail, Kailh switches are shit, Cheap plastic but really Kailh switches are almost exactly the same and Razer uses them because of the limited supply of cherry switches. Kailh switches are really good shut up.

I have 3 keyboards: Deck Keyboard, (white backlit) Max Keyboard (white back lit) and Corsair K95 RGB. Corsair is the one that gives me the most problems (Sometimes the keyboard will not detect, or the colors reset to something else)

There's a different factor besides the switches (I believe Deck doesn't use cherry either) But the key caps themselves. Some of them use aluminum caps, and most use plastic caps. There's a different feeling when you get good caps vs. cheap caps. A different sound also.

To be fair though, the RGB lighting and corsair software are both fairly advanced compared to most everything else currently available, it's the one I'd expect to have the most issues and hiccups.

Thankfully my biggest issue has been the caps lock bug where if you press and hold the caps lock key the LED lights freeze up and don't respond to the corsair software. (Though it still types fine when the lights lock up)

Not only that, but there's a difference between the plastic materials as well. Most boards use caps made of ABS plastic, which gets shiny/collects skin oil quite quickly and (to me) has an unnatural smoothness to it.

I kept the ABS plastic spacebar and function keys on my 1-yo CM Storm, and they're already getting pretty shiny. Meanwhile the PBT caps I've been using since mid-2011 are still about as good as when I got them.
