Mechwarrior 4, $28 at ebworld, killer game! (and receive 10$ GC)

while i personally haven't played this game i have all the other mechwarriors and the reviews say this is the best of them all. the gameplay movies look wicked fun. 34.99$ and apply the msn discount to bring it down to ~28$ i shall be broke again soon ive read more reviews and this thing is getting 9/10 everywhere. can't wait to get it in.

The reviews are right - this is the best one of them all - ease of interface - no chronic overheating - no right arm blow off instantly - graphics are amazing...

I was never into any other MechWarrior game. Does this one show drastic improvement over previous MechWarrior games?

from what ive read it's best of them yet. there are some beta videos at dailyradar.com and check out the review at gamecenter.com and the aforementioned dailyradar. or go to bluesnews.com and look for reviews on it. this one also has a solid multiplayer component. there is a TEST demo for it at download.com this ISNT a demo but was an early release of the gameplay. dont discount the game too much if the demo isnt any good, it was a rough release and was intended to be.

Hey, that's great news about the ebworld rebate. Wait until Best Buy/CompUSA/Circuit City/etc. has it on sale for the same ~$28, then pricematch at the b&m ebworld and get the additional $10 rebate.

You will LOVE this game. I have been playing it nonstop for 2 days. The new interface for customizing mechs RULES! The new damage/heat for weapons ROCKS! The story is bar none excellent and the maps are awesome!

They really did a kickbutt job on this game.

I hate to dig up an old thread, but how's the online play? Netmech (MW2) over Kali was pretty special for 1996, although the lag sucked. Then again, very few people had broadband back then. I need to know because it's not a killer game w/o solid online play.

FYI, ebworld.com has bumped the price up to $39.99.

However, Microsoft has a better deal if you go through here. The game is $55, but the final price is $30 shipped 2-day for free. They note that applicable sales tax will be accessed, but the clowns won't state the tax cost until they send you the confirmation email.

One other benefit to this route is you don't have to create an account at ebworld.com. Microsoft has a basic checkout process where you just enter in your address(es) and payment info.

I have loved Battletech, aka mechwarrior forever. I have to say this is the best one yet, the lancemate controls are alot simpler. The Graphics are great, have a good video card though. Not buggy at all. And I love the ER PPC shots you can see the Electricity fry the other mech and course through its frame.
Nothing like mounting 3 ER PPCs on a 90 KPH Awesome and letting loose

its an ok game. I bought it from eboworld on thanksgiving day and got it. But, I must say, this is the best MEch game out of all the previous Mechwarrior games.
