I just went out to my best buy and got the Maximum Edition, 3 games better then the 2 steam gives. Plus I dont need to deal with any Steam Related issues that might come up with this mod.

There may be some confusion here.

The makers of the MW:LL mod are NOT the makers of crysis. This is a project that started with a bunch of random (and talented) guys planing a mod for BF 2142 but switched to crysis shortly after release.

The mod itself is free and downloadable by torrent (on their main page atm), it is up to you to decide if you wish to buy Crysis or not if you do not have it. If you expect these people to create a stand alone game of this scale for free you are out of your ****ing mind, let alone with a graphics engine the likes of CryEngine2.

Crysis is a performance hog, search/post on the MW:LL forums for information on how well it will run on your system. Crysis uses securom IIRC but without online activation or install/system limits.

i went straight to "i forgot my password" then reset the password using the link they emailed me.

2. enter a new nickname in the multiplayer login box with your new gamespy password. none of my old nicks would work.

A bunch of people made this mod in their spare time, just like Counterstrike. It is why it has taken so long to come to fruition, and like most free mods, I didn't expect this day to ever come. I am amazed at your response, but then you don't seem to understand the context of this game. I hope that Black Mesa Source is also released, but again, it is a free mod made in the free time of a bunch of hopeful game designers so it likely won't.

Wow I didn't think a person this ignorant could exist. I'll say what has been repeated many times. ITS A MOD. It's a modification of an existing game made not by a company but by a group of enthusiasts. It IS designed and released out of the goodness of the creators heart. Never meant to be and likely never will be a product for sale.

What are you talking about? The mod is free, they're not "in business". Most modders are motivated by two main factors - the love of the work, and recognition by game studios for possible future employment.

After playing the game for a few hours I have to say it's awesome. Not sure yet if it's on par or better then MW:4 mp, that will come when I know all the details of the game and the final version is released.

One thing I like is how the credit system works. You always respawn with enough to buy a small mech/vehicle/aircraft, the more kills you get the higher rank you become which respawns you with more credits. You earn enough credits easily to repair/rearm your mech while fighting (this is assuming you lived to repair), but you have to be damn good for the total to exceed you base spawn amount allowing you to buy more.

There is locational damage, so weapons can be destroyed or the mech's speed reduced. When a weapon is destroyed you can not repair it, so beware if you have only one big gun on your mech.

Teamwork seems like it can/will play a huge part in this game. One mech with a tag laser with two missile boats behind a hill will rape almost anything they face.

One thing I hate is how bothersome elementals can be. You can't seem to lock onto them with SRM's and are very hard to hit. If they become a problem, buddy up and load some AOE weapons (still don't know what is best).

The biggest problem atm is lag issues that many seem to be experiencing. Severs with N/A ping seem to have the least, with many others flashing the disconnect icon every few seconds.
