If you're referring to me, nope, I haven't played it. My mechwarrior experience comes from three different games. One from the late 80's dos game that I won't ever remember the name of, Armored Core for the PS1 and a Mechwarrior game around the windows 95-98 era.
I'm not going to defend my ideas as if they are 'right' or 'wrong', I honestly don't care(especially since such a thing cannot really be measured). Good things can stem from ideas and imagination though, without that we get the same old game.
So if we want to keep this game true to its past as posts are suggesting, I really would like to know why adding new features and innovations would be bad.
I think it's funny how people will complain because game x is a clone of game y, then when new ideas are approached it's shot down because it's different.
It's called staying with the story and what is canon. It's like me going to a Star Wars game and asking why I couldn't add a star trek teleporter in the game or me going to a Diablo game and asking why they aren't adding a night elf hunter.
This is a Battletech saga that has lasted decades and the story has been fleshed out for a very long time through numerous games, novels, etc.
From what you have said, you've only played one Battletech game and it's from the 95-98 era.
