Went with Hunch. UAC20 pzpzpz. Good lord these downloads are slow as balls tho.

If you wait a few years, yes.

UAC/20's was a technology which the Inner Sphere did not have until after the Clan Invasion.

You'll have to stick with the plain AC/20 for quite some time.

They plan to have the clan invasion next year (following the game calender as close as they can to ours). They haven't said how it will be introduced and if we will get clan tech and mechs or not. I'm pretty sure we will get it all though, the MadCat/Timbermaw is just to damn popular to ignore, pretty much the iconic mech for mechwarrior to most people.

I'm no expert but the madcat doesn't fit into the timeline does it? At least thats what I have seen mentioned on their forums.

The Clans invaded properly in March 3050 with minor skirmishes from unknown raiders being reported as early as late 3049.

Whilst Clan mechs may appear in small amounts, I doubt they will be player controlled for a while or at least widespread. Even then, they might be stuck with IS/Lostech for a long time before looting or finding access to Clan Tech.

Dev answer: ....

Devs haven't really mentioned how the whole Clan invasion, Clan mechs and Clan tech is going to be introduced into the game.

We do know you will be able to join a house or be lonewolf/merc. You'll earn loyalty points and rank up in that house and get discounts on stuff they produce. Also you will fight over territories for your house as well. The devs have been pretty tight lipped on a lot of it currently as they are just making sure the core game is ironed out first.

If you bought a founder pack, that is weird as all founders are in it, but maybe they stopped now till the 7th. If you aren't a founder, they were still doing invites from that pool of people but might have stopped now, I don't know.

They haven't invited non-founders in quite some time (at least 4 weeks I'd say).

There going to be a 3rd person perspective to this game? Would think there wont be from youtube and the mwo website.

No 3rd person view. The devs want people to be aware of their surroundings and also the game is suppose to be more sim like and 3rd person is not sim like to say the least.

When does this game actually release? It's got a looooooooooong way to go. Right now the only things this game has over MWLL is customizable mechs, semi-independent arm aiming and basic collision mechanics. And frankly, MWLL has so many variants available the customization in MWO hardly makes up for it at this point. Yes, I know they'll add more mechs. MWLL maps and game modes are infinitely more fun, though, and the armor and aero add some nice extra flavor. I'm sure MWO will add more game modes, but they better get creative. Something like a "defend the dropship" mode would be a good place to start. If they can eventually integrate an actual metagame to the missions then they'd really have something.

They are hoping for the end of summer but don't have a firm timeline. There is a reason it is closed beta and under NDA still as they are still adding and fixing/adjusting most stuff still. Only other game mode confirmed is drop ship mode were you bring 4 of ours mechs into a fight, but no one knows anything else besides that about that mode and whatever other ones are coming.

They have a whole metagame system they have talked about where the different houses fight for territory and you pledge to a house and rank up in that house while fighting for it in mission game modes. They have been very tight lip about a lot of stuff, they have told us what is the beta currently is just the core of the game that they want to get working 100% before worrying about everything else.

I have trouble believing they'll roll out any of these more interesting features before their target launch date.

Did they add more modes than team deathmatch? I played a while back for a bit but just got bored after a bit with just deathmatch.

Seems like most people play terrain control now. Large maps with multiple cap points, some of which are mech bays where you can launch a full suite from, others only light/medium.

You will see faster ones than that (more like 100kph), at least as it stands now.

not sure what it was (either a commando or a jenner), but someone must have traded out most of it's weapon space as it was moving on the weekend. Could not hit it with missles, getting a lockon with streaks was very hard with the ducking behind everything.

Needed a steady hand with large lasers, but up close...
