Yeah, no collision is a major let down. Graphics look a little blah too but I assume they will improve them before launch. It is definitely looking like an alpha game at this point or at least when this video was taken.

It's closed beta.
It's 6 weeks before early access.
There appears to be collision detection when it comes to enemy mechs, not friendly mechs.

We have no idea what part of the closed beta this was from. In theory it could already be weeks old (Never saw a date stamp and saw two MWO leaked beta videos on Youtube ~12 hours before this was posted here)

Is it just going to be deathmatch or is there objectives? If it's deathmatch might as well go back to Living Legends, it looks nicer.

I hope there is a RPGish facet to the game. Like if you are in a House, you can make your way up the ranks, etc. If you're a Merc, you can build up your status as a Mercenary. Earn C-bills, mod your mechs, etc.

Oh and to the people with the graphical concerns, MWO Devs stated that the game would be available in DirectX 9, 10 and 11 flavours.

Perhaps this leaked footage was simply DirectX 9.

6Q: Are jumpjet mechs "Death From Above" tactics included in the game design yet? Keyword searches and reading through the posted material, I've so far failed to find discussion on the topic. I doubt it has been overlooked so it's probably just a lack of discovery on my part. [Jaxwen]

A: Yes, although if you hit an Atlas with a Jenner, the Jenner tends to fall, and the Atlas stays on its feet. You can land on people and knock them over though, absolutely. [GARTH]

I used to be absolutely deadly with this in Mech 2: Mercenaries. Timed jumps at speed smacking the cockpit with your feet. Why try to land from a fall when you can hop while engaging...

Personally, I'm in a wait and see pattern which is where I been since I first heard about it. Luckily we still have over a month before deciding to buy a founders pack or not. I respect NDAs but this time I'd like to know a lot more before plunking money down. Waiting to see what, if anything else, leaks out.

Purchased the Elite Class last night and am looking forward to this game. Being a Battletech fan for over 20 years requires me to give this game a try since it's exactly what I was hoping for when MMO's began to gain popularity.
