Here's an interesting piece of info and an interview on the game. It looks next gen to me.

I especially like the idea of modifying your weapon. Adding M8 nade launchers to Garands, improving accuracy with Thompsons, increasing firepower and all that. The Thompson looks good for a change in this game. The gameplay itself looks next gen as well.
So without further ado, we have the Interview

^ I like the ability to use recoilless rifles in this game...It's looking more and more kickass.

That looks great to me. Thanks for the pics. I might pick it up if I read more on it.

The last medal of honor game.. pacific assault?

That looked really good cranked up but the controls felt strange, it wasn't as fun to play.
This new one looks nice though.

I really like the idea of attaching grenade launchers on the m1 Garand.

I am looking forward to this and will buy it as soon as it's released.
I just finished MOHAA/Spearhead sp for the 4th time.
I love the MOH/COD series and I'm not sick of WWII games.

Yeah, I certainly like the idea of parachuting down, and I love how the weapons look so badass. The Thompson is one of my favorite SMGs, and I like how it looks like the beast it should rather than some poodle shooter like in CoD2.
Did I mention I can't wait to start customizing it?

I'm sure the game will look great once it's out, but the visuals didn't seem too great.

Yes, the controls were total garbage on Pacific Assault.

Switching from iron sights to normal took way too long. And your squadmates were lousy.

But the worse part was you had to use the awkward bolt action rifle for 80% of the game and only got to use the Garand in the last 20%.

It's coming out a few months before Brother's in Arms: Hell's Highway...nice! That game seems to be a little more lush/colorful/vivid than MoH:A. But I like grit and the feeling of a little dirt under my nails...er...mouse.

Same here. I love and still play MOHAA 1 and its add-ons and COD 1 and COD 2. Even tho the graphics are dated by todays standard, these are great games. The sniper mission in MOHAA 1 is still great!

Saw a trailer for it, and it looks pretty good. Like the grandiose scale and actual 'airborne' drops.

Yeah, the vertical scale and the total access to everything is what I like. It's basically CoD, only you see everything dropping in, and you can go anywhere, instead of being channeled in through places.
Ladders, doors, rooftops, ground levels, they're all accessible, which is awesome stuff.
Also, weapon customization, and I cannot get over how the weapons look--the Thompson is beefy and the Garand looks like it'll pierce sandbags.
I also love the weapon choices--be a sniper with a scoped springfield, or just have a springfield--extra accuracy, or get a Garand (I imagine it'll be unlocked as the campaign progress).

You know, you're absolutely right. There was something odd about the controls in Pacific Assault. Couldn't even get used to the demo so I never bought that game.

I was exaggerating to show how powerful the Garand looks, jackass. Nice try though.

The 1.2 patch made the controls much more zippy; in fact they were remarkably responsive even in low framerate situations.

Also the weapons are much more enjoyable when using a static crosshair. The Japanese Asuka rifle could even be fired from the hip with reasonable accuracy.

I also found the squad was pretty good for the most part.

I liked Pacific Assault. Controls were a bit sloppy, but it was a fun game. I just wish the squad mates were a bit more aggressive. When I told them to advance, they would just sit there and return fire.

It was kind of cool that the AI was a bit intelligent. Once, my leader told me to flank, I didn't and I got chastised afterward. That was fun

Airplane level had to be the the worst level I have EVER played. It was painful playing there. I cheated and skipped the level. It was just too bad.

The New patch did work wonders. Alot of things I wanted fixed were adjusted. mainly the cross hair

But the Game can be ABSURDLY hard. I had to go against 3 Machine gun nests, and a brigade of soldiers with 5 Rifle Bullets, a Pistol and a few grenades. I died about 10 times because the machine guns and snipers would cut me down every time I moved. I restarted the level and saved up more ammo/

I think with Airborne, they're trying to get away from that sort of approach. It's not, hoard all the weapons/ammo you can, but rather, choose one gun, and stick to it. If you do, you'll be rewarded. Incorporating RPG like elements into the game is what I like. I like how it has to be one gun. That way, replaying the Single player won't get old.

Well, this is about the closest thing you'll find. You're a paratrooper, and you can fire off recoilless rifles, Scoped Springfields, Sprngfields, Garands, and Thompsons.
