why? you know reviews from places like ign and gamespot are rubbish and not trustworthy. honest reviews are impossible to find nowadays with the dealings that game makers do with the gaming sites.

Was reading the MOH beta thread over at NVNews and saw them discussing that all the BFBC2 .ini tweaks can be used with MOH, including Bloom, FOV, etc.
Also, It was mentioned that if you rename the .exe to the same as the BF BC2.exe and run it, the NVidia drivers (ATI too?) will take advantage of application detection and apply the same performance tweaks ( and the stutter fix (the multi core optimization that causes BF BC2 to chop) ) that they have in place for BF BC2 (until they release new drivers with it in place).
I wonder if setting the FOV to what I use in BFBC2 will make me play any better? Unlike some others in this thread that are apparently used to this hectic play style, I was coming in LAST in almost every round I played (usually NOT true in BFBC2).

Well its much better than the closed beta. The menus actually work right which is nice... (should work right all the time but I guess not). Gameplay is the same. I dont have any problems spotting people. Maybe its all those years of Counter-Strike.
Anyways, ill sell my pre-order copy for cheap if anyone wants it.
The hit detection is very wonky. I've been getting kills aiming at edges of rocks when their barrels are exposed.(and getting killed in the same manner) Anyone experience the same thing?

yeah teh hit detection isnt 100% perfect, but most of the time shooting your enemy actually kills them, opposed to the MW2 method. Shoot an entire clip and hope they die. Straight up deathmatch is where its at. Tired of killstreaks and perks. Just wanna see who can kill the best.
i played the open beta last night. i thought it was a closed beta that started the 4th for everyone who preordered. I nearly shit my pants at how awesome the game is. i played for about 2 hours and am totally going to buy it next tuesday. :thumbsup: dice.

It's Modern Warfare just in a different setting just like World at War was. It's the same thing which is why I'm not getting it. The same game 4 times over even if it's a different setting isn't fun to me.

W@W was way better than MW2, and I thought it was more fun to play and MW-1. the treyarch stuff feels different, its not the same as the batshit insane crap infity ward tossed out
