why the hell would they use the unreal engine 3 instead of frostbite? that doesn't even make sense.

Who cares. I beat the SP game on hard in 3hrs. What a joke.

I know right... I feel like I just bought an expansion. What a rip off. Now they want me to pay more money for the actual expansions in a month or so? F U EA.

Because the devs already have years of experience with it?

unfortunately dice didn't do the game, so i suppose you are right. i'm not familiar with danger close, but i guess they didn't deem the frostbite engine worthy, even tho it looks 100x better. still disappointed, the game is so meh looking.

I'd love for you to prove you beat the game in 3 hours. What's wrong witht he graphics in this game? The lighting is amazing. The rest is just standard console gimped graphics just like every other game released in the last 5 years.

It looks like the game is pretty easy on the CPU given even an E8500 is pulling well over 60 FPS.

It’s a shame they couldn’t test AA.

BS. Even if there is no shooting, but just running straight to the end point, it takes at least 3-4hrs. Under moderate setting, it would take about 10-13hrs for someone with mod-high fps experience.

Frostbite is proprietary to DICE. Why would they hand just hand it out?

because dice is owned by EA. and danger close is owned by EA. why would EA pay to license the unreal engine when they have a very superior engine they already own. the only thing i can think of was mentioned earlier, that the devs had more experience with it, but IMHO that's a piss poor reason to use lesser technology.

the graphics aren't BAD, they just look dated compared to bfbc2 and even the MoH multiplayer.

Really? I've not played the game but most reviews claim the campaign is ~6 hours.

How is this groundbreaking? Weve seen Unreal Engine like 40 times before. Game seems meh to me to be honest. It just doesn't do anything new for me. Not worth the money for me at least.

3 hours? Yeesh, that's a new low. I'd advise people to avoid this game, unless you want to see more of the same from future titles.

i saw the reviews and indeed they say the game is very short and you should beat it in 4 hrs. and they said the game is very easy on normal so if you've played fps before, you should play it in hard. so it's not that hard to believe someone finished it in 3 hrs.

Funny, I had the exact opposite reaction. I bought it on Steam yesterday, and I think the SP engine looks way much better than the MP. The lighting and environmental effects in the campaign are gorgeous. In contrast, MP looks just like BC2, down to the stupid butt stock wiggle as you walk.

I did it in like 4.5 hours on hard.

I enjoyed it, but its buggy. wasted probably half an hour on 2 parts where I couldnt get the script to activate.

when calling in the AC130 shots(fun) and waiting to take that little town at night near the beginning.

the guns fire way more realistically on single shot than auto. I also felt like the machine guns barely hit crap when firing remotely large bursts.

the pistols rock. I loved popping off 50 yard headshots with them.

by far one of my favorite levels(which took a few tries) is the last sequence in the first group of ranger missions. defending the hut till.

Have to agree. The graphics were not that great. Only the rendered scenes were great. The only thing I really liked was the lighting, but the game offers nothing new.

I dont even get the use of the rendered scenes. Some cut scenes are in-game, then they throw a rendered one at you... Just makes no sense.

Horrible SP game. I have no interest in going back to it again.
