If you don't have Medal Of Honor for PC and you like fighting games.. You have to get this one. I believe it's the best game I have played on PC yet.. It's deffinatly worth the money..

That's always up for debate, but I feel it's definitely better than RTCW and while nowhere as long as JK2, it's not as frustrating either.

MOH:AA is a great game, mp is really fun too, except when rocket and shotgun n00bs spam everywhere.

I really liked MOHAA. The sniper level (the one with the snow and trees) was a bit tedious for me, and the tank levels were easy (by a neat change of pace imo). Overall a great game.

Didn't care too much for the single player in RTCW (MP is good though). Chicks in tight leather uniforms and heels, cool. Chicks in tight leather uniforms and heels as a elite combat unit doing offensive and defensive rolls and stuff, bullsheeet!

I was considering getting this game and tried out the demo. I was disappointed because it seems so scripted and linear.

Games like Operation Flashpoint have ruined me because of the complete freedom of movement I have, but then again it being a tactical simulation its completely different from MoH...

Agreed... awesome game.. reminds me of (some of) the best parts of the original MOH on PS combined w/ some elements of Goldeneye for N64... mmm.. goldeneye... Talk about addictive!!!

Anyway, I'm stuck @ storming the beach. Where are we supposed to go? I realize this is the point, it's realistic D-day, unorganized disaster w/ like no chance of getting up there alive. But the shingle? Where's the shingle?

Sniper levels are my favorite part! Especially when you can use a combination to get the job done. And the enemies! There's nothing like standing with your ear to a door, listening to some conversation in German for 30 seconds, open the door, blow his friend's head off and listen to them shout. Awesome. And the AI is tremendous. The guys use the same tactics as you, you're no less vulnerable than them.. Everything in this game sets new standards. Bottom line, for a hack-and-slash FPS this is good. Now if it only had more strategy......

I think I'll dust off the PS and go play MOH again...

Basically keep moving to the frontline. Go to a shingle, and wait until bullets stop hitting yours. Then run! to the next one close in front. Keep doign that until you reach the sand bunker. The AI is not bad, but I saw some examples where they just play unfair.

Go up the beach (duh). Hide behind those big metal cross things. Crouch. Every few seconds, the enemy will target you. Wait until the enemy fire stops hitting the big metal cross thing in front of you, then run like blazes to the next one. Wait. Repeat as needed. Here's a Hint: There's a medic about halfway up the beach who will heal you.

I think what they mean by the "Shingle" is the small hill of sand that you will eventually reach. You can't miss it, because it extends the whole length of the shore, and lots of American soldiers are cowering behind it. There's a medic here too.

And I really really really hate the sniper levels. How the heck do you locate a sniper before he puts three holes in you? It may be realistic, but it really sucks when a sniper can see through trees and you can't because there's this big huge leaf in your way.

IMO, RTCW was fun, but MOHAA was better. BTW, you don't play RTCW because it's realistic. Why complain about Nazi soldier babes when you have to deal with a dead wizard and a bunch of zombies? JK2 is in its own "coolzone" because nothing beats swinging a lightsabre and throwing stormtroopers at walls with the Force.

OvErHeAtInG--Just as tk149 said.....and, a couple other things.

1. Holster your weapon. Nothing you can shoot at anyway, and it allows you to run faster.
2. Stand up to run.....crouch when you stop behind metal stuff.
3. As I recall, you need a goodly bit of health when you get to the shingle. I'm thinking at least 40-60%, cuz, then you gotta run through some other stuff.

Oh, and don't be afraid to use dog mode if you have to. I finally did to get from the shingle to the concrete bunker. I just got too bleedin' tired of trying to run from crater to crater. I only used dog for this little bit, then turned it off. Weird, I was demonstrating to a buddy the other day.....and ran right on thru without trying to go from crater to crater, without using dog mode.

Yeah, the sniper level was one of my faves. In fact, the sniping, for me, was the best part of the game. Sure, the AI had an advantage, but it was do-able.

MOHAA is a very good game. But the sniper levels can get on your nerves quickly. It is a really addictive game. You find yourself going back to certain levels just because they are so fun.

MOHAA is a good single player game. I was kinda addicted to its multiplayer for awhile untill I found RTCW.

RTCW multiplayer blows it away.

Yes, MOHAA is a great game, very addictive and immersive. I especially liked the accurately rendered tanks, planes and artillery and the excellent mounted machine guns.

I think RTCW's single player scenario and story edges out MOHAA and I think the weapons are a bit better but MOHAA's graphics look slightly better than RTCW's plus there are more things in the game to do than in RTCW.

Both are easily 5 star games.

Yep MOH is good, if perhaps a little short and with a crappy ending

If you like WW2 based FPS, you HAVE to try Day of Defeat, a free to download Half-Life modification. The graphics aren't as good as MOH (obviously, as it's based on half life engine), but the atmosphere, sound and playability are much better than the multiplayer modes in MOH in my opinion. And DoD seems to be getting better all the time. A must play

RalfHutter--oh, sorry.....they just have god mode as dog mode. You type in dog at the console, within the game, and nothin' hurts you. Then, you can deactivate it when you want. I only used it for about a 15 second part, then deactivated it.

Oh....and, also......As I recall, the game doesn't come with the console installed, or you have to dl a patch to activate it. I can't remember for sure. It was a bit convoluted as to how you get the console installed, and when, within the game, you can activate it. I hadda do some reading on their forums to finally get it right. Seems like there was quite a bit of confusion over it. Course, you can also use other cheat commands for unlimited ammo, etc.

And, like everyone says.....I couldn't believe the sorry, nothing ending.
