Does anyone know how to revert back to an older version of Windows Media player? I'm running XP Pro and recently upgraded WMP to version 9. Since then I have not been able to play mpegs, or mp3s from web pages. If i click on a link that launches WMP it crashes. It also crashes if I open WMP first and click "File" "Open URL."
I have tried several times to reinstall my orginal version of WMP with no luck. I have also tried just using winamp or realplayer ( /me shivers) and both are useless. When you uninstall the program it leaves several files behind, most of which can be deleted. Several though can not be delete or rewritten by a new install.
I have even went as far as trying system restore, which doesnt seem to be working either... I tried it twice last night and it wont restore... This keeps getting better and better
If anyone has any suggestions please let me know...im all out of ideas.
thanks in advance!
