Can anyone try burning the 2.4x +Rs at 4x and 8x and let me know the results?

i picked up a few hundred of these at their retail store in santa clara... the 2.4x do not burn at 4x on my 4x BTC drive, but the 4x media is only $5 more for $100.. interesting thing was that they didn't have any 100 packs, only 25 packs. u have to grab 4 25 packs to get the 100 pack price.

also, the +r's were identified as optodisc. i had one coaster so far, but the successful burns play well on my two dvd players (apex and memorex).

If these are optodisc brand, than they aren't that good. Checked the review at videohelp.com and people are complaining about it.

I've done a fair amount of business with these folks over the years and have even had to RMA a few things, but never had a bad experience. They used to be Softwareandstuff.com and dealt mostly in software, especially Mac stuff. I think the name change came when they started selling more and more hardware.

Those are DVD+R's not RW's. The Ridata DVD+RW's at amazon go for 18.49 for a 25 pack 4X speed.

Well I ordered mine on monday and just got em in. Haven't tested yet but the retailler seems to be legit.
