I added the first page of by email full stats, and those alone added up to 2,756,438 blocks, as of about 9:50am UTC. Second page came out to 1,309,600, for a total of 4,066,038 blocks between the two pages. This seems to be a bit too good to be true.

as i type it is at 713T nodes for the day, and 8,908,943 blocks for rc5. The stats server is very backed up, and it taking forever to get the stats done

Blocks not accounted for by distributed.net would only show up in their stats, not Mika's.

Dasm, man! I don't know what's going on, but I've got more than 48,000 blocks for today, whereas I usually only do about 8,000. Either someone systematically targeted almost every email address on the first page of the weekly stats or there's something wrong with the proxy. It's not just some phantom flusher helping out one person, everyone's stats are up!

we are now at 1.2P nodes. and the rc5 stats appear to have crashed from the workload so they are still at 8.9 million blocks, it should rise by quiet a bit tho when the stats start again.

I so hope these are legal blocks.

Hmmm...I seemed to have a few thousand extra on Mika's this morning as well. The big question is: "Will it make it to d.net?"

There's no way this can be legal ... sorry guys but we don't have that kinda power, and AFAIK there is no MF planned and certainly nothing as big as this...

I have a theory tho' If one pproxy has semi-hung or somthing and keeps flushing and flushing the same blocks over and over we might see something like this even tho' there are built in some small dupe checking in the latest pproxy software (I don't even know what version Mika's using, and the older ones have NO dupe checking AFAIK). Heh I've got 10000 blocks under my new fake email account at Mika's so if anyone has started crackin' for that addy the blocks are devoted to team 0 (there's no way I can get my hand on that email account as it was something made up to get the flag and put ta in there )

If this is in fact a pproxy that is hung up it should be easy to fix, I would suggest that all pproxy operators (at least the baby bovine operators) check their pproxies and makes sure there is nothing wrong...

If you check all of the blocks that have been coming in, they are coming from edge.teamanandtech.com. It doesn't appear to be coming from one of the round robin proxies.

The two problem that i can think of with that theory is that the dumping seem to have just about stopped, and that the extra stubs are coming from edge and being sent to core. From what i know all the rr proxys flush to core not edge. The ogr stats are still working and the stub have slowed considerably in the last hour.

They all look like there coming from the edge and that would be the Mika proxy. If you look at the total from the edge and subtract those blocks form the total flushed you will be somewhere close to your normal flush. At least in my case it was right on.

sounds like it might be the edge that is doing some funky stuff then :frown: Hopefully Brad or Mika or someone that has access to the edge will get to it and check up on it soon...

I was upset this morning that I was missing like 600 blocks from dnet's latest stats (which would have made it my best day ever), after my flushes at Mika's yesterday.

BUT OMG!!!! I found myself suddenly off of page 5 and onto page 4 with almost 7500 blocks just for today so far!!!

cry and jag, some people point their proxies at the edge AFAIK, not many but some... if something happened to the edge we could be back to my theory ... after all the edge is just a pproxy too...

I remember reading that edge.teamanandtech.com shows up when someone points their client/proxy to one of the .dhs.org addresses we used to use. So either the new PhF knows this and thats why they did it, or something is screwy at Mika's.

Something is going on at Mika's. If you check the RR status page, Mika's hasn't reported in in over an hour and the RC5 buffers are blank. Not sure what that means. I'm sure Mika will let us know what's happening.

I have restarted the proxy on Edge. I'm in the process of compressing the console log file for remote viewing. My first guess as to what happened, is the proxy got stuck in a loop and kept flushing. I should know in a little bit.
