Simple reasoning. Hollywood is traditionally VERY liberal, as are the executives that run the studios.

Give a project like this two years to simmer, and sure enough, it gets life again. Richard Donner, as quoted by the "Calgary Sun" (and via ComingSoon.net) is now saying that he has been talking to Mel Gibson about doing one more movie, to "put the franchise to bed properly."

Odds are Mel Gibson couldn't care less about what people are saying about him at this point. He's getting tons of free publicity out of all of these articles. I wasn't planning on saying Passion until all of this broke and now I want to see it just so I know what the big deal is.

 

They should oust Spielberg too. Some of his movies make Germans look as bad as Gibson made Jews look.

Hell, I'm not a right winger. I'm not even religious. And I fully support Israel in the ME conflict.

That said, Hollywood's far left ideology disgusts me. The most recent thing to piss me off was watching Runaway Jury on a flight to LA a couple weeks ago. If there ever was a more leftist anti-gun/anti-corporation propaganda piece of crap in recent history, I haven't seen it.

I can't believe all the hype over this movie. He's not forcing it on anyone. If you don't like it, don't go watch it. If you disagree with the movie, then debate it...don't personally attack the man. Mel is a great actor, I have a hard time believing that people won't continue to hire him for movies.
