I guess Hill Clinton is not a normal politician. Back in 2008, one of her closest supporter, made racist comments about Obama. I am talking about Geraldine Ferraro. Ferraro made this comment.

Hillary didn't fire her. In fact Hillary's PAC paid for racist comments in a commercial, where it was asked if Obama would pick up the phone at 3 in the morning. I'm sure all of us remember that.

It wasn't until Ferraro let it pile higher and deeper, by a follow-up comment.

That's when Hillary had to cut Geraldine loose.

http://www.salon.com/2008/03/13/ferraro_resigns/

And if you remember your history correctly, Hillary lost.

I'm not talking about Benghazi. Is what I'm saying really that fn hard for you to understand?

Bush has at least 4000 American lives and over 200k Iraqi lives and the unraveling of an entire region on his slate. Until Hilary matches those stats, Republicans who supported and still support Bush can miss me with the feigned concern.

Btw. did you vote for Bush for a 2nd term?

I'm pretty sure that no one would be talking about it anymore if his campaign wasn't aggressively and repeatedly lying about it. It's the same thing with any 'scandal' where it's not the action it's the attempt at coverup.
I guess low-hanging fruit is an acquired taste. When some are so used to only clamping onto a topic by the feeblest nitpicky shred and rolling like a pitbull with it, this gaffe must be like steak dropped on the floor!

By all means, have at it!

How is it nitpicking? They said the plagiarism didn't exist yesterday and now today they have someone taking responsibility for the plagiarism. Should people ignore blatant lies?

The funny part was yesterday with educated adults arguing it wasn't plagiarism. That is far too easy to let slide. The flurry of self inflicted wounds has some of us picking our chin off the floor. It's appalling and sad and hilarious all at the same time.

What made it so hilarious was the same old men calling Hillary lucifer and a liar were in the very next breath saying the speech was common words and there wasn't plagiarism only to be proven fools by their very own campaign not 24hrs later. It was fun to watch.

Lol, the opinion piece you linked to is a sad mixture of hot air and arrant bullshit.

ON first watching Hillary Clinton’s recent “It’s 3 a.m.” advertisement, I was left with an uneasy feeling that something was not quite right — something that went beyond my disappointment that she had decided to go negative...

Something not quite right? Well, you've convinced me!

I have spent my life studying the pictures and symbols of racism and slavery, and when I saw the Clinton ad’s central image — innocent sleeping children and a mother in the middle of the night at risk of mortal danger — it brought to my mind scenes from the past. I couldn’t help but think of D. W. Griffith’s “Birth of a Nation,” the racist movie epic that helped revive the Ku Klux Klan, with its portrayal of black men lurking in the bushes around white society...

A scene of innocent children sleeping leads YOU directly to "Birth of a Nation"? Don't sprain yourself with those leaps of judgement there!

The ad could easily have removed its racist sub-message by including images of a black child, mother or father — or by stating that the danger was external terrorism. Instead, the child on whom the camera first focuses is blond...

No further comment! :sneaky:

It is striking, too, that during the same weekend the ad was broadcast, Mrs. Clinton refused to state unambiguously that Mr. Obama is a Christian and has never been a Muslim.

And the smoking gun turns out to be a water pistol.

Doc! Do you even read the bullshit you link to to support your own partisan prejudices? Because not doing so makes you look like a Melania amongst the grown-ups. And you probably ain't pretty enough to get away with that.

Libya was a complete clusterfuck that we had no business being involved there. Looks to me like you'll effectively be voting for Bush's 3rd term. Libya, Iraq, Syria...this woman hasn't seen a war she didn't like.

How is this "nitpicking"? The GOP convention is a HUGE deal with all the hype and tension Trump has created with his reckless actions. On day one his wife, potentially the next First Lady, is reading a plagiarized paragraphs from the current First Lady.

I also love it when Republican fans (yes, they are not "conservatives", they merely root for the team on the right for various bigoty reasons) claim there were no plagiarism. Just "common words". Yeah, and the Lakers will also win the Title this year.......

Is it Bush's third term? Or Obama's? I am confused between you and your buddy Trump.

So you voted for Bush for 2 terms and woke up one day and realized you are a pacifist. Yeah, I see.

Many thought the 3am ad was racist...I just gave one example from an "esteemed" liberal source. You're free to look for numerous other examples...Google is your friend.

Still going on about this like it matters a hill of beans. It makes you look as stupid as Trump and Co. The man could give two shits about his own speech, let alone whatever speech his wife gives.

Given there's probably examples of virtually *ANY* modern day politician of high exposure speaking parts of other people's speeches verbatim (as I pointed out -and correctly- the post of Obama doing the exact same thing was the most "I'll just pretend I didn't see that!" post of the entire thread) it's just a lame thing to go on and on about as if up on some high horse to begin with.

Especially in light of the fact that Trump is a walking/talking gaffe in so many ways much more significant than this nonsense.

Its not the plagiarism but the cover up. If it meant nothing why did the campaign spend so much effort in denying something so obvious?

I get kind of tired of looking at a room with 4 lights and having Republicans tell me there are 5. So many here turn into parrots and squawk there are 5 lights in an effort to deny reality.

And who are you? A neocon and too stupid to know it?

You are just so wildly inconstant, which is sadly the norm for a lot of Republicans I know. It seems like you'll line up behind whatever position your Republican candidate offers, though it contradicts the position the last one took. Sadly, you seem intelligent too.

The last neocon we elected was Bush, whom you voted for 2x.

Wait, are you trying to argue that Hillary Clinton's temperament is less well suited to the presidency than Donald Trump's? Seriously?

If so I'm sure we would all LOVE to hear why.

It basically comes down to a substantial % of population thinks anytime a woman raises her voice it's crazy bitch land.

To be fair I do think it's smart for Clinton to meet those expectations however sexist since backwards folks aren't the sort to change.

Unlike other people, I don't even know who HA Goodman is, but damn, this really seems like a stretch.
Race baiting is a time-honored practice among liberals...I especially enjoy it when they eat their own and it comes back to haunt them later...it seems so right.

he's a clickbait auteur who pretty much writes whatever is going to give him the most page views.

started off writing ridiculous columns in favor of Rand Paul, switched to ridiculous columns about Bernie Sanders, and now he's just pro-Jill Stein and anti-Hillary Clinton.

I never understood the appeal of arguments that other groups also have dummy counterparts just like oneself.

This has a small list of his unhinged rants and remember this was written back in February. Goodman only became nuttier after that.

It isn't only Melania.
It is down right sickening watching the media and their republican guests painting lipstick on this pig of a convention.
Not talking about Melania. I'm referring to the entire republican nominating process.

Speaker after speaker standing up there calling Hillary a crook, demanding her imprisonment, and yes... accusing her of satanic devil worshiping.
What the hell is going on?
And while we all have a mental breakdown watching this train wreck in slow motion, blood guts and all, they dare utter those words first uttered by Donald Trump himself, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.

Demonizing every minority out there. Demonizing a woman candidate. Calling for deportation, walls, religious litmus test. Division unlike we have ever seen before.
And they call that "making America great?"
I feel like Charles Heston in Planet Of The Apes, IT'S A MAD HOUSE. A MAaaaaD HOUSE".
.
.
PS... A MAD HOUSE
