I'm not defending her "lack of integrity". I just don't think this is a big deal like you do. If Obama had plagiarized someone else in a speech, would you be similarly outraged or would you be defending his lack of integrity?

Doc its about who you rely upon, who checks things and how you admit there was an error.
The person who wrote it is wrong, saying she wrote most of it herself is arguably wrong and the person who vetted the speeches is wrong.

So, if the speech was written, in whole, or in part, by someone else, how would Melania have known, if something plagiarized was slipped in there? Not condoning the plagiarism, just have questions. I don't think we are to the bottom of this yet, unless she wrote the whole thing herself, knowing she had used Michelle's 2008 speech for some of it.

From an oration point of view, her delivery was poor. She didn't inflect properly to highlight key statements and she didn't know how to create energy for applause pauses. I do give her credit for getting through the speech in a second language.

The plagiarism is crazy. IMO she is either a complete air head and just ripped off other speeches (unlikely) or it was an inside job. No one in their right mind plagiarizes a speech from someone that came directly before them in the same event lol.

So she is either a liar (said she wrote it) or a complete moron.

I've said it several times in this thread but I'll admit I don't read every post all the time either.
To me its about Trumps obvious inability to apologize or admit wrong, its about poor organization and a group of people who work together but are willing to eat their own- the staffers who implied Malania added them without review, its about crazy denial like she didn't plagiarize its all Hillary's fault, its about responsibility who made the mistakes.

A friend of mine remarked, this situation wasn't fair to her. She signed up just to be a trophy wife and have his child. All this extra stuff wasn't in the cards. She thinks it's a condition for divorce. I thought it was hilarious.

Anyhow, though it may/may not engender sympathy for her, I don't see how that translates to support for Trump.
