Gawd. Trump panders to fear, frustration & bigotry like no other politician of the modern era. Look how far it's brought him.

This won't faze his fans in the slightest because his pitch is raw emotion. They know he's a liar, a cheat, a thief & a charlatan. It doesn't matter. He plays them on a whole different level, a primal one.

Trump is their new star quarterback of their favorite team. Fans will be fanatics. They always think they'll win the superbowl this year.

Proven neocon vs clown hellbent on improving the economy and doing something about our illegal immigration problem. Tough choice.

There's nothing to demonstrate the clown actually knows anything about economics beyond what's necessary to impress rubes. If you're aware of any such feats, please do show & tell. I should warn though that validating the previous statement will not be impressive.

You are saying how you think it works which is wrong.

Frankly you're not in a position to determine that. To understand this statement try imagining someone who didn't know anything about PC's speaking the quoted to you.

There is no valid reason to consider me a "supporter".

You did throw your hat in the ring and said it doesn't look like plagiarism, when it was obviously plagiarism. You may say you do not care now, but that was an awfully strange position to take and directly congruent with the party line, until Trump's campaign said it was indeed plagiarism...

I despise the thought of plagiarism, but it's also very difficult to NOT sound like someone else when you're talking about broad, generic statements. Have you seen the Obama plagiarism video? It's just as bad, but I wouldn't call him out on it because it's difficult to NOT take things out from someone else's book on such statements.

Or maybe I'm not a political hack

You definitely are a political hack. There is no doubt this was textbook plagiarism. Compounded by the fact that they released a statement saying they took the quotes from her speech. So, at this point you're even arguing against the Trump campaign. They've hoodwinked you and left you looking silly. It seems like you don't mind looking silly as you keep parroting the bs argument they've moved on from. Not a very flattering look.

Oh, and ZStream, you self-outed political hack, the "Obama plagiarism video" is not even close to being as bad . . . hack.

Unbelievable. Even after Trump campaign admitting guilt, their misinformed followers are still denying this textbook plagiarism. Pathetic! Simply pathetic Trump minions. Brainwashed is a kind word to describe this phenomenon.

To be fair, they rarely read before spewing forth so it's entirely possible they're not informed of the new party line.

Can you explain how it's worse? Or what qualifies it for being worse. I'm not sure of the video you researched but it's just as bad.

Followers? I haven't followed Trump or Clinton. I clicked on a YouTube video showing the issue. I also clicked on an Obama one as well. To be honest I don't give a shit and I'm not even voting. Keep on drinking your sides kool-aid though.

Have you been watching the Republican convention? Lol.

This is some amazing projection. The republican nominee is literally embroiled in multiple lawsuits for being a liar, a cheat, a thief, and a charlatan but you're mad about Clinton for those things?

Serious question, how do you feel about Trump's fraud lawsuits if you're mad about people being thieves and liars?

No it isn't. I'm talking about the huge quantity of lies from the Trump campaign about this specific issue. Does that bother you?

yuge!
You served the dish, you name all the lies. Choose your words wisely. You can't talk about lies in the Trump campaign, without talking about Clinton's. To do so is a double standard and indicates some kind of prejudice. Hahaha....fucking partisan morons!

There are two huge turds in this election punch bowl. How can you claim one is cleaner than the other?

Back to her speech. If Melania gave MacGyver the quotes of the speech and MacGyver put them in. Didn't Melania know she was plagiarizing Michelle's words when she reviewed the speech? Very confusing why everyone seems to want to give her a pass. I hope they offer other first ladies the same deference.

The real bias would be to claim that the quantity and character of lies is equivalent here. Go to politifact and look at the two in comparison. It's not even close.

This is one of the most dangerous things about American politics, that people are wedded to the idea that the two parties are mirror images of each other. They are not.

If you can't resolve an issue within 24 hours, and it's still troubling you, it's very possible that you need to see a professional for potential PTSD.

No pass. She fucked up. I'm over it. No cling-ons.

I think the plagiarism itself is trivial but reveals the disorganization in the Trump campaign. For me, I think the bigger issue is how the media has treated her in this situation. They have treated her like it is impossible that she is the one who decided to steal the words. People like Wolf Blitzer automatically made her the victim. Why? And would M. Obama have received the same deference?

I know this will come as a shock to you but people can focus on one thing without dragging other things into it. It's called focusing on a subject, something that those who drag other crap into a conversation do to avoid focusing on a subject they hold dear. Everyone likes to excuse the behavior of others (or themselves) by pointing to the actions of others, saying it was just as bad if not worse. You see this in children who frequently use this technique as a defense when they get in trouble but the adults who deal with them know to dismiss their diversion from the matter at hand.

This is a trait that most people grow out of, or at least they used to, but now 'big kids' use it to try to 'win' internet arguments.

Precisely. I think the media implicitly feeds these kinds of false equivalencies, and frankly most of the electorate is not paying enough attention to tell the difference. I am not a fan of Hillary Clinton, but she is by any objective standard a highly intelligent, experienced candidate. Donald Trump is a populist demagogue who doesn't even pretend to understand how our government works, much less know how it should work. He has never read a biography of an American President. I find it incredibly depressing that he is a major-party nominee for President - it really feels like Idiocracy come to life.

I believe Melania actually wrote the speech on her own and doesn't comprehend the idea of plagiarism. Yes, she looks just that dumb to me.
