Using beginners luck, I have overclocked my Intel Core Duo e6600 to where it is running stable @ 3.51 GHz (9 X 390.1). Most settings were left on Auto however I was a little concerned about the 1.456v Core Voltage. The manual says 0.85 to 2.1v, and I have read of others using this value in the same situation so I left it alone. I manually set the CPU PLL voltage to 1.50v. My idle temp is 30 degrees C and my Core temps never go over 50C when running flight simulator.
My question is: I have not done anything to the memory because I don?t know much about it and don?t understand what I do know. Should I do anything the tweak my memory?
Here are my settings:
DRAM Timing Control Manual
DRAM Frequency 390.0 MHz
FSBRAM 1:1
CAS # latency 5.0 clocks
RAS# to CAS# Delay 5 clocks
RAS# Precharge 5 clocks
Cycle Time 15 clocks
Command Rate 2T
My Rig:
Intel e6600 Core 2 Duo @ 3.50GHz
Noctua NH-U12P Cooler
ASUS P5Q Pro
OCZ Reaper 2X2GB DDR2 800 (PC 6400)
EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 640 MB (O?Clocked)
WD 250GB GB SATA II
Corsair CMPSU 550W
Windows XP home
