Managed to get in on this
Manager looked at my printout and made a call and said, no problem. Had no problem with me buying two of them either. Then he went on to make a copy of my printout for himself. Wonder if he's planning on snagging a couple himself

was able to pricematch at my local staples, as i didnt feel like driving 50 miles roundtrip to my local OM to get them. Manager had to call OM and verify price and stock, he was hesitant to give them to me for 9.99 but ended up in the end doing it for one pack. they didnt have the exact cdrs with the blue lable, but i was able to score the 700mb/80min/48x purple labeled ones for that price

I ordered 2 for instore pick up at CC and printed out the OM flier and drove there to pick them up. The guy looked at it and of course went to get a manager. The manager said it's after rebate so we can't. I told him to look carefully and see that there is no mention of a rebate and the guy looked it over again and said "ok we'll do it then".

Hey, do you have the link for it at CC website? I can't seem to find it. TY.

I'm just now out of the 150 I bought from Sears for 15 bucks a while back. Those have been working great except when I burn music to them the 4th track never seems to work (using nero express) on my cendyne dvd-r drive. Oh well, guess it's probably not the cd's but none the less I need some more Will go to the local officemax on my lunch break and see what I can work up! I'll let you guys know how it goes.

This is for people that don't seem to read offers: If you go to officemax.com and click on Weekly Instore specials, click on the state were you live, then the city. The first step states:

1. View the offers
View the products and offers below. To receive your exclusive pricing at any OfficeMax store, you must print our list of this week's offers and present it when checking out.

This is a printed list of the offers, you do not take in the picture ad. The manager looked at the printed list, went back to her computer and printed out the bar codes for all of the in store specials.

Hopefully this will cut down on the confusion.

I picked up a package of these at an Office Max store as I was passing through Aberdeen South Dakota on Monday night. They were marked $40.99 on the shelf and the dude in the dark blue shirt had no idea about the deal that was going on. He called a manager and they said that they were on sale for $40.99 and then you get an instant rebate after that, so the price came to $11.65 after tax when they rung it up. Not bad for 100 Memorex CDrs without having to waiste your time with them damn rebates. I asked the guy that worked there about any limits to how much you can buy, and he told me its limited to one 100 pack spindle per person. I might have to pick up another 100 pack of them cds at my local Sioux Falls South Dakota store on Friday or Saturday. The guy at Office Max in Aberdeen told me that every Office max in the counrty should have the same prices, so hopefully Sioux Falls will have that price also so I can get more cdrs.

I took the printout with me. They rang up at 39.99 but after handing them the printout and a few minutes talking to the manager they took the discount. Also as a sidenote, for anyone who has them tell you it's only on the 16x media, well the 48x I picked up rang up as 16x media and the reciept says 16x also. So I'm assuming that the old 16x spindle and the new 48x spindle have the same sku and theoretically are inventorally (is that a word?) speaking are the same item and there should be no problem getting the discount. Just have them scan it in, and it will say 16x on the green register screen and on the rebate and say SEE THEY ARE 16X muahaha!!! Appreciate the deal thanks!

I hate the woman that works at the CC in my area. She has screwed me of all the deals i have tried to get before but not this time. Today i went in and tried to pm. she said it wasnt a go so i go to OM and picked up a flyer taht said it was $10. Run over to CC and try to PM again, but this time she says its a online offer so me being the idiot i am i agree with her and on my way back home i realise it says "instore exclusive" on the flyer and im coming back tonight and winning this one. I'm pissed soo i think ill buy 400 ^.^. Oh and if your wondering why I'm not buying at OM to support them on this incredible price its because those are Riteks or whoever the Taiwanese Manufacturer is. CC is all TY baby.

PS I think im gonna write a card w/ her name specifically one it shes messed up one to many deals for me.

I bought mine at CC and they are manufactured in Taiwan. I haven't opened one up to see for sure, but they can't be TY if it's made in Taiwan can they?

Do a search on "memorex 100" and you'll get a link to the 32x 100 pack. I ordered those and they gave me the 40x instead. They burn faster than their rated speed anyway.

I don't see why there is such a big deal about CMC/Ritek (Taiwan) vs. TY (Japan). I have read multiple reviews on them, and found that bottom line, if you take care of your cd's and don't expose them to direct sunlights or high temperatures, irrespective of who made them they should run fine for many years. Plus, I remember reading that the CMC/Ritek take almost 20 years to get to the point where the data on them may be so corrupted/lost that you may not be able to use them (once again also dependent on how you treat them). This is just my guess, but in 20 years most of us won't be using these cd's that we burn, they will have been replaced by something other than dvd's even. I have floppies (the 5inch ones) from almost 10 years ago that I will never use.
Maybe it's my ignorance, as some may want to call it, but I don't see the big difference.
