Memorex DVD+R or DVD-R, $1 per disc (+ tax)...

My experience so far is that Memorex media sucks for DVD-R. Paid $25 for 10. Three coasters so far on my Pioneer A06. Also won't play on my Samsung DVD changer.

Verbatim works well on this drive as well as TDK 2X burns at 4X great quality.

Spidey, how is the video playback burning 4x media at 8x? I've heard stories that this sometime results in jittery video and/or pauses.

That happened on a couple of discs (pixelated, green blocks, jitters), I've since started burning video @ 4x again. I wasn't sure if it was the disc or my 4 year old DVD player, though.
