I emailed Memorex a few days ago about the newer firmware available from Ricoh. I said that the Memorex version is at 1.51 and that Ricoh now has a 1.64 version available and asked if they could contact Ricoh to get an updated version to distribute on the Memorex website. Here's the response I got back:
The drive string we have for that drive is 1.51. Please do not use the 1.64 unless we post it on our website.
