I have a Memorex DVD from year ago, and it is just great. It has the best compatibility with DVD-recordables that I have seen, and the picture quality is as good as Panasonic/JVC/Samsung players in the $80-100 pricerange (and better than Apex stuff).

This is a real hot deal if you pull it off.

ditto - the ony 5 off 25 i found you had to use your sears credit card --

But also in reviewing the policies of sears Price match they dont offer price match on sale items or special items etc... which home depot is offering 29 bux as a special regular is 39 --- has anyone gotten this price at a sears store?

edit: also - if my math is correct the price should be 11.10 +tax ---

29 - 10% = 26.10 - 5$ off 21.10 - 10$ rebate = 11.10

click the "printer friendly" on The Home Depot's site. print it out and use it when u go to Sears. the printer friendly link doesn't mention anything about the price being special.

i haven't tried getting this deal yet, but probably will tommorrow.

Sears may also add shipping since Home Depot doesn't stock them in their B&M stores, which is in Sears policy. I almost got by with out the shipping (6.99), but some other nosey cashier opened her mouth about it. You can also get a 2 year replacement plan for 5.00. Mine ended up being 27.00 with the replacement plan and 5.00 off coupon.

I printed out the HD coupon and found a valid $5 off $25 Sears from Google. First I got the price match and once that was approved, I pulled out the Sears $5 coupon. It all went without a hitch. Now I will wait to see how long the rebate takes.

Okay...I got my DVD player for $26 after tax and before $10 MIR...I couldn't find any $5 off $25 coupons before I went and the craftsmen calendar I found only had $5 off $75 coupons...luckily I am a sears credit card member and they send me coupons ($2 off $20) so I just used that coupon and pricematched.. the cashier was surprised that he just sold a DVD player for $16

BTW.. the cashier made me use my card for the 2nd time now, so it def is YMMV with the credit card coupons

Is anyone else having audio problems with this DVD player? I go to test it and both of the DVD+R backups I tried have no sound at all.

Sears extended warranty policy is based on % of sale price...not a flat fee like Best Buy ($39.99 for DVD players). I paid <$6 for the extended warranty on this...not bad considering it's a cheap DVD player and the odds of failure are probably high. Especially hot since I'm buying this cause my cyberhome 300 just blew up.

Could some people please post a few scanned reciepts. I tried to get Sears at the Mall of America to price match it to 29.00 at home depot but they wouldn't. They would only price match it to the 39.00 price at homedepot, cause of the rebate thing or somtihng. I bought it anyway. SHould i call sears HQ and talk to someone?

Or can i go back and get my 10 bucks if someone posts a scanned reciept?
