Haha, does anyone have the funny meme (or rageface or whatever it might be termed) that someone created way back when on Intel versus AMD back before the Ryzen processors? It had like an intel executive saying something like "gentlemen, I propose we adopt this new chipset that will increase memory performance and lead to an overall performance of 11% over our existing chips". Something like that. Then it has the goofy-face AMD executive saying "ADD MOAR CORES" or something like that. That was seriously one of the funniest things I have ever seen. I would love to see it again!

YouTube is so different now. If you were to put a video like this on YouTube today you'd be lucky to get 1k views. YouTube now is filled with 17 year olds who want to sell you that $2k course so you can make millions. Or, Mr Beast who puts out 1 video and gets 100k views in minutes. Or, those YouTube shorts.

The original is actually pre-YouTube. Probably saw it on NewGrounds or something.

I remember all the Ebaumsworld, Albinoblacksheep, YTMND etc links back in the day.

And who can forget all those shock-site pics?

I still have a Canopus 3D card in a box somewhere, TNT2 chip I think? Also, found a retail Pentium 4 chip (Malayasia fab) unopened.

Ahhh, those Salad Days of overclocking celery with graphite from a #2 pencil, I remember them well.

Damn Captain, that is badass. Save those until you die, box and all. My significant other made me throw away some of my old computer stuff like that, I still hate myself for bending and doing it.

I'm pretty sure I still have my first CPU, an Intel 486 DX33. It was in a proprietary local bus system (just before Vesa local bus standard was adopted) that I bought used, a desktop, from an EE who put it together. I replaced that CPU with a DX66, I think maybe AMD. The machine ran Windows 3.1. I was taking a DOS class at the local community college, this was about 1993. I installed a simple and probably free chess game on the machine but it beat me every time. I started getting weird emotions, I'd had totally positive feelings about the machine, that it was going to help me climb out of poverty, but it was beating the crap out of me in chess and my love affair with it was souring fast, so I uninstalled the game and don't think I've played computer chess since.
