first of all, if anyone can suggest a better forum for this, i'm open.
that said, what is meant by 8Mx8, 16Mx4, 32x64 when talking about memory? what exactly is module config/data width?
if my ATX BX2 mobo's manual says i can max out the memory at 768MB (three slots, 256MB each) when using 16Mx4 memory, does that mean i can't use 32x64 memory? have their been module config/data widths higher than 16Mx4 developed since my mobo manual came out that might still be usable with it? i hope so, bc so far i can't find any 256MB SDRAM that's 16Mx4...
and why is it that 32x64 is never seen with the M, where the rest of them are? or maybe i'm an idiot and the 32x64 part has nothing to do with what 8Mx8, 16Mx4, etc. are....
