some decent prices (still now as low as id like) but thanx for the post
69 dollars was the cheapest for 256 and that was from LEGACY ELECTRONICS, INC. never had any of their stuff, are they ok?
Man, memory prices have skyrocketed in the last few months. I bought 2 sticks of 256 pc 133, cl 2 for $30 bucks a piece a few months ago, and now they are around $100 bucks a piece.
<< Kingmax TinyBGA 256MB PC2700 DDR has actually gone down at CrazyPC.com. It's $88.95 now, I paid $93.95 last weekend. >>
There are still some decent deals (if this can be called decent), but nothing like 4-6 months ago. I was thinking a few weeks ago that memory prices had stopped climbing. Surely, it's past the point where manufacturers are making money. I think crucial is trying to raise prices in an attempt to drive everyone elses prices up. Crucial may have so much market share now, if they raise there prices, others will follow because there aren't many big players left to undercut prices. Let's hope demand doesn't stay high or increase even further. If it does, this could get even uglier.
I pay by money order at newegg-better to order and cancel the order later than to wait. I think a couple memory companies went bankrupt since it was like $30 a stick for crucial 256mb ddr
