i note brikis98's thread on the ideal memory configuration for 32-bit vista. not wanting to hijack his thread, i thought i'd seek everyone's opinion on what the best memory configuration for 32-bit xp is:
2x1gb
2x2gb
2x1gb + 2x512mb
i'd probably end up using vista someday (even 64-bit), but i could always get a new set of RAMs then, so that's not much of an issue
i've also been reading up somewhat, and i know that 32-bit xp only sees a max of ~3gb ram. however, my main concern with 2x2gb is that having 4gb of RAM on 32-bit xp might lead to problems (not too sure about this). any truth in this?
any thoughts / comments / recommendations?
thanks!
P.S. also, what do you guys know about A-DATA? is it reliable? i'm looking for RAM that runs at 1.8V. yeap, and i'm new to all these, so thanks for the patience!
