Memory Leaking/seepage problems???

Here's the problem, After hours of use (through the day) running simple programs off and on (internet browsers, networking prog's) and RealPlayerJuke Box all day, the computer starts slowing down, until at the end of the day I can't do much of anything. I'll try switching between open screens (three or four only at the same time) and everything comes to a stop. Sometimes it fatal errors on me and says i'm out of memory. Here's the system

Dell GX1
pIII 550
192 pc100 cas3
7g hd
network card

other info unkown this is a school issue computer. Have had no problems on past computers exactly the same type only running 450PIII's ? Anything to shed light would be appreciated!

Well, which OS are you running? I used to have the same problem as you do when running w9x. Have to reboot every now and then to reclaim the memory. Just have to put up with it or go for W2k!

Running Win95 The funny thing is, the fellow i'm trying to help isn't even running memory intensive programs, pretty much RealPlayer all day

I've heard problems like that with the Realplayer. Have you tried not running the Realplayer for a day or two and then see what happends??.
