So I mainly use my computer, which is an Acer Aspire AMD Sempron 3400+ 1.81GHZ, with 768 RAM. I have a PC2 4200 667 I believe in there which it came with, and a PC4200 667 with I bought like a retard, I forgot the 2 and too late to return it. I have a NvidiaGefoce6100 which it also came with. So now, I will either get

CORSAIR XMS2 1GB (2 x 512MB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

which is 123$

or a 7600GT pci-e16x for 150$ or below, which one I have no idea because I'm obviously not too bright with these kinds of things.

Games I would be playing include WoW, Battle for middle earth2, and FEAR. So if you can, tell me which one would benefit me more, if I get a vid card now for example, I'd get the memory in about a month. Thanks alot for your time.

Sincerely, i would buy both ot them, because your VGA is too short for actual games, and 768Mb of RAM are not enough to deal with windows and games

First, the VGA, second, the RAM

768MB of RAM is low, but a GeForce 6100 is just horrible.

Definitely get the video card. (And yes, VGA = video graphics adapter.)

But like he said, stay in the market for more RAM. 1GB is around the minimum you'd like to have these days, 2GB is quickly becoming the standard.

edit.. and as for the video card brands, EVGA, BFG, and XFX are all good brands.

Right, and one more question. Why is 2 512 sticks of RAM not upgrading to 1gig, is it because one is PC2 and other is PC? both are ddr2

Even if both are ddr2, you still have to look at your motherboard manual to see what speeds it supports. Even then, some boards don't work with some memory sticks. As stupid as it sounds, you would think that as long as a stick meets the standards it should work, but it isn't always like that. I've heard of this with some Asus and DFI boards, but I'm sure it's on others as well.

Video card first, ram second. For games, you need them both pretty bad; WoW loves ram.

EDIT: You could sell the ram you can't use in the FS/FT section of this forum, if you still have it.
