I'm upgrading my PC and had a question. Is it worth it to add another 2GB of memory to the 2GB I already have for a total of 4GB? The memory is DDR400 PC3200. I heard after a certain amount that it doesn't really matter if you put more memory in.
The rest of my upgrade will consist of going from a AMD 3500+ CPU to a AMD Athlon 4600+ X2 CPU. The 6800 Ultra video card gets replaced by a Evga 8800GTX card. I want the motherboard to stay the same as it is only 6 months old. It's an Asrock 939 Dual-Sata2. This board has an expansion card available that will enable you to upgrade from the 939 socket it came with to a AM2 socket CPU. Is that socket better for performance?
Any feebback would be appreciated. Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Hans
