Nevermind, found the XMS2 on another online site with $40 same price. Seems to be best bang of the buck currently.

I chose the G.Skill DDR2 800 to pair with the P5B-E mobo -
That looked like the best bang/buck when I purchased 1.5 weeks ago. It's listed for $209 at the moment.

The HZ series is much much much much x999 better

If you want to overclock...get Teamgroup, G.Skill HZ series, Patriot, Mushkin, or any of the PC8000 memory.

?? Confused now.
cmdrdredd, don't you use this "crap" in your rig and got 3.2GHz out of E6400 or is it different version?

Remember I said Luck...

Plus you can run your memory at DDR2-800 at 6-6-6-18 and get 3.2Ghz out of the CPU.

Everyone else seems to say Corsair is great.

not when they start binning everything and tossing the Micron chips into their Dominator (i.e overpriced) series. Then any D9 that doesn't clock up to DDR2-1000 reliably is thrown in and mixed with infenion and the like. So you don't know what you get.

When I got corsair it was because nobody knew much about Micron D9 and how good it was. Also most memory wouldn't post. These days it's all pretty good (as far as getting post) and Corsair isn't recommended much anymore as a result.

I'm going to swap to some teamgroup DDR2-800 very soon anyway.

I've never heard of that brand. Can't seem to find any place that sells it either.

The Teamgroup brand gets included every year in Anandtech's high end memory round-ups. It consistently performs at the top of the heap in their reviews too.

i have ocz ddr2 800 plat rev 2 for my 6300. i got it ~2.5 weeks ago at frys.com for 190 after rebate. i think its 210 AR now. i get 475 5-5-5-14 at 2.25v.

if you can afford it, i'd get faster than ddr2 800. but then again, you'd prob only get 500 and for 25 more, that's a lot money...

I've seen DDR2-800 running at DDR2-1000 at 4-4-4-15 and sometimes even better. It depends on your luck and the chips.

I just got those Crucial Ballistix 4-4-4-12 you linked. Have not tried them yet but getting very interested in seeing how they work. I am still kicking myself though for not getting the Team ones 4-4-4-10 DDR2-800 as it seems those are pretty much FOR SURE gona reach 1000 or close to it. Not that with a e6600 it's that huge of a concern.

Anyhow that price from ZZF looks great. Too bad in Canada I can't use them so we get prices like $550 CAD from Tigerdirect... PASS.

4-4-4-12 and 4-4-4-10 are so close...I bet your ballistix are the same as the teamgroup. and Can run 4-4-4-10 no problem.
