OK ... some (possible) good news ... the pictures on eBay indicate they are Centon - doesn't show enough detail to say which model unfortunately ... however, the good news is that according to the memory configuration tool on Centon Website, the Compaq Presario 7360 will take either C256/IBUN (PC100) or C256M/IJUN (PC133) ... so hopefully, the ones you bought will work ... but there is only one way to truely find out ...

someone returns it, its used, and they cant sell it as new so they have to sell it as refurbished. sometimes refurbished is something repaired, sometimes its something someone didnt want, something they couldnt use, something that wouldnt work in their system, but seems fine in another etc.

newegg is too lazy to test them so they just use you the consumer to do the testing for them and you will end up paying for the shipping both ways(round trip), how convenient. It may just be a defective ram, meaning no post, not worth the risk imo.

Hello again, I recommend removing the Patriot Extreme PC3200 memory from the thread. I've finally installed mine into a good system and it should NOT be sold as more than generic PC3200 RAM. My most stable setting in an Athlon XP/ABIT NF7-S v2/Sparkle Power Intl 530W psu system is 400MHz at 3-5-5-11.

It does not perform to specification and other purchasers (who have posted to the Overclockers.com Forums) report similar results. OC Forums Patriot Extreme Performance Memory thread So, I recommend de-listing it as a good deal.
