Memory? Upgrade or not?

I've been running with 2 sticks of PC2700 512mb for a little over 3 years now. Never failed me, but I was wondering if its time to upgrade them to faster types? How much of a performance gain would I gain if I changed to say... PC3500s or around that range?

First and foremost, we need to know what is ur current setup (ie. cpu, mobo , etc) Secondly, why would you need pc3500? At most pc3200, unless you plan on overclocking and so forth.

any ddr memory rated above pc3200 is just pc3200 rated to run at higher frequencies and will be no benefit unless you are overclocking without a divider on your memory. it would really help to post your system specs.

AMD 64 3200
FOXCONN 755FXK8AA-ERS
geforce 6800
1 gb pc2700 crucial ram.
