Memory upgrade?

I have the ASUS P4P800-D Motherboard and the memory i have now is 1024 MB of Corsair XMS Twin-X PC3200C2PT. But if i replace it with two sticks of Kingston Technology HyperX 512MB PC4000 DDR DIMM Memory would that impove my preformance or should i stay with what i have?

if you are running your CPU @ stock, it will infact decrease your performance because the PC4000 will run at looser timings

in fact, even if you are overclocking, using a divider will yield about the same performance with the XMS compared to running 1:1 @ cas 3

keep the 1024 of XMS

Right now my timings are 2.0-3-2-6CL but it just seems so slow pulling up apps and other stuff. any suggestions?

That system shouldn't be slow at doing much of anything.

How fresh is your OS install?

I wouldn't buy memory now. Prices are a freaking joke.

Well i had to get a new motherboard and cpu so i did a fresh install of windows and every since my system seems really slow. And when i say got new i upgraded. It was about 3 months ago. So i was wondering if my memory has something to do with it.
