Question: If I am 12+ hours prime95 stable, should I automatically assume that memtest will also pass without fail, and thus ignore doing memtest at all?
If it is a new build I'd loop Memtest overnight just like the last poster had suggested. Otherwise if it is just an upgrade (cpu wise) then do a quickie or test #5 I believe, just to be on the safe side.
I only run Memtest when the sticks are suspicious. Too impatient to leave the screen in that blue DOS screen. Usually Super PI & Prime95 LargeFFT is sufficient for me to test memory overclocking.
Regarding memtest, I notice there is a bootable binary. I am assuming I can stick that file into a USB key and boot from there? I don't have a floppy drive in my new rig, and I don't currently have any CD's to burn the iso onto....
