How many passes should be run? Are any number of errors acceptable, or does it have to pass clean?

I did four passes with four errors. Is that okay? I'm also using kingsotn 3200 valueram( and yes, i know it's not good ram).

you have to run all tests and with the cache on

if you just run it after it loads, it won't test the ram completely

look through the options or maybe thugsrook can post the sequence...

something like... 1-2-2-3-0 or something along those lines...

1-2 is cache on all tests
2-3 is all tests
0 is exit

i think most people would say 10 passes on all the tests should be good..

some people like eva2000 only run test 5 for X amount of hours...

i've found that if my ram isn't stable, prime will error within the first 10 loops of test 5.

How do you change the settings? It doesn't seem like my keyboard has any effect (esc or other keys don't do anything, to stop the test, i have to shut down manually). Is there something I'm missing since this is the first time ive used memtest. Would it be good to just the run the heavy RAM stress on prime95?

Any errors at all is bad. You need to either lower your timings, or increase the RAM voltage a little bit.

Which memtest are you using? The original, or the updated version?

Yeah, i figured any errors was bad. I'm using memtest 86 version 3.0. Should i use a different version? The link you provided was for the plus version, is that better? I just downloaded it and will try it out tonight. EIther way, I was getting errors at 192 with 3:4:4:11 timings. THis ram really sucks.
