Does Memtest86 v1.15 ever "finish"? or does it run indefinitely until you stop it yourself?

so when can I be sure memory is error free? Its on like its 10th pass lol

Generally if memory is failing it'll be pretty obvious, I've never had to let memtest complete more than 1 pass before it counted errors. But then I've had very few experiences with bad memory.

ditto. the one time i had a bad batch of ram it only took one pass to fail.

Your memory can be fine but you still get memory errors if your overclocking your system. Even running your ram at stock speeds but with an unstable OC'ed CPU, you will get memtest errors. Better to let it run several passes (5+) as the CPU heats up with each pass it can create errors that are not apparant until the 4-5-6-99 pass.

Your memory can be fine but you still get memory errors if your overclocking your system. Even running your ram at stock speeds but with an unstable OC'ed CPU, you will get memtest errors. Better to let it run several passes (5+) as the CPU heats up with each pass it can create errors that are not apparant until the 4-5-6-99 pass.

If you're overclocking you should expect errors and other strange annoyances, you are running your system out of spec after all.
